THE GOOD

We got a good run with the umpires.

Lord - a big forward kicking a bag. Best game he's played.
Rozee - spark and class when free but wasn't that free.
Rioli - most of his touches were gold.
Drew - very good game.
Overall, the defending was pretty good but when the boys dropped their guts, it became a parade.
Lachie Jones - not bad.
Bergman - up there as well but problems still with kicking.
Aliir - I thought he was OK considering he was a bit injured.
Horne-Francis - tried but the Lions played him well.
Williams - OK

THE MEDIOCRE

Butters - his worst game for a while. The Lions played him well.
Marshall - horrible body language kicking those goal. Didn't want it.
Burton - mediocre or ugly, probably mediocre.
Houston - average but battled.
Powell-Pepper - he was played well. Tried but down.
Williams - yeah.

THE UGLY

Coaching and tactics - terrible. A loser attitude and very passive, especially behind the ball. No freaking run.
Forwards - kicking poorly in the first half.
Defence - overlooked but our running from defence was the worst for the year. I don't think we had a backmen anywhere near metres gained. The main reason we lost the game.
Playing injured players - Lycett, McKenzie not so good.
Midfield - they got beat but they kept trying.
We really need a ruck.
They were just well drilled.

Lycett - battled hard but goneski. Hayes would probably have been better.
McEntee - does absolutely nothing. The worst, just the worst. He wouldn't make the AFLW team.
Wines - just couldn't get it done. Nowhere near captain material.
Byrne-Jones - one nice goal but horrible especially one on one.
Duursma - terrible and slow and doesn't trust his body. Needs a week in the tropics.
Farrell - missing in action but not quite as bad as McEntee.
Finlayson - hot or cold, cold in Brisbane.
McKenzie - old and ragged.
Boak - he gets a pass for being 23

ELEPHANT MAN UGLY

Hinkley - a parasite.
Koch - a parasite lover and a puppet.
We lost the game by structure. They were just efficient and worked together as a whole.
Hinkleyball.

We are going to have a real problem against the GWS.
Good post PB, but I'm assuming `dropped their guts' must have a different meaning now, as back in the dim darks it was used as a reference to a fart that could clear a room!

Yup. They'll win the flag.

Our only chance this year was finishing top 2 and somehow doing the reverse and just getting over a couple sides with the home crowd momentum.

Playing the Lions at the GABBA and Collingwood at the MCG was always going to end up like this.

If we do make it through to play Collingwood it is going to be an absolute thrashing.
This is why we get so frustrated during the year when the team doesn't put shithouse sides away, takes the foot of the pedal when in dominant positions, and puts in ordinary efforts against bottom teams.. % cost us a home final tonight, Lack of a killer instinct during the year cost us come September..

Kochie is gonna be a great example of this.

Dutches up PAFC with his IBS then ****s off to replace Goyder on the commission.

Good. He's the only one that faults ken

Oh great he must be genuine in his concern for us then and not tugging himself off to the thought of us going out in straight sets.

Don’t give a shit what he thinks about Ken, he is a flipping tosser.

Meh.

We were never good enough all year.

Even when we were having winning streaks we had a pretty poor defence.

Get Grundy, Zerk-Thatcher and Esava and go again. Then again. Then sack Hinkley.
We are missing out on Grundy and Zerk-Thatcher & Ratogolia are both average. Ratogolia is a great size, but McKenzie is a better KPD than both of them.

Great to see Lord have a break out game. It might be the first time he’s kicked three or more in any game since joining us. His first two goals were extremely creative from ground level, half chance opportunities. Then two strong marks in the goal square. Competed on Andrews well for a lot of the game. A shame more experienced teammates couldn’t go with him.
