Just checking in to salute this top tier finals performer.

Need a vital goal from outside 50? He is the man
Whilst i appreciate the post....

It's bloody well not the time of year to be bumping players threads just to give them props!
Especially ones that are in our top tier, but have had some off field distractions in the past!!!

Nearly gave me a heart attack

Why don't you go give some props to Jordy as well? That'll send a few into a spin.

Wait till tomorrow to do this :)

Funnily I did think of that aspect but you’ll get over it

This bloke is an undisputed legend of our club now. Also love the fact that Jack is from Myrtleford, a place I loved as a kid. My mother grew up there and tells me the Crisp boys of the time (Jack's granddad and great-uncles, I imagine) were the local footy stars/heart-throbs.

Jack is the greatest set of steak knives ever. The Beams trade is also the greatest in Collingwood history IMO, when you add the De Goey factor. Even the mistake of getting Beams back for a couple of mid to late first-rounders can't diminish it too much. In fact, I am pretty sure we traded one of them out so we would not be forced to use it on one I Quaynor, another key cog in the premiership machine.

Happy days.

Had a look back at his goal kicking stats as he's not a big goal kicker overall with 73 goals in 226 games.

The Grand Final was the only game for the year he kicked 2
3 of the 4 times he's kicked 2 in the last 7 years are in finals
Kicked at least 1 goal in all 6 finals in 2022 and 2023

Incredibly important for a team that wins so many games by small margins

Every time I watch the GF I appreciate Jack's game even more.

Our senior players really did deliver. Cool heads & reliable.

They weren't going to let this one slide.

He’s spent a lot of time in the backline but he’s good around the goals.

Agree.
Watched the replay last night.
His work in the stoppages was immense.
Sitting in the stands I didn’t see it because he was buried in the pack.

Rumours of Crispys demise are greatly exaggerated.

I'll be going through Myrtleford next weekend - will give a thumbs up to the town 👍

He seems to thrive on being set a challenge. He really stepped up when he was sub for the Lions too.
He was back to pure midfield on both those occasions.

It's where he won his two copelands and where he belongs. If one of our players got annoyed about being shifted out of full time mid - it should have been him.
