People in the media and the selectors clearly got caught up by the hype of richmond and Rance's last few games. Based on the FULL season, I think most would agree Mackenzie was significantly better, if he was from a Melbourne team he'd be a lock.

Isn't that he is undeserving, has had an excellent year, just dont think his year was as good as McKenzies, so perhaps less deserving.

Half-forwards have actual half forwards instead of mids, its a miracle, can't say the same for the wings though.

So doesn't that mean Smith deserves his spot since he has played more time in that position?

Smith had a great year. Died off a bit near the end but other than that was fantastic.
