Dallas has signed a back up goalie. ...aaaand thats it. So pedestrian can't understand how a team who's been irrelevant for 6 years cant be happy with the status quo.. we still have 10 mill cap room and noone else to sign for 2 years.

Sick of watching this putrid defense for last 6 years.

Please may there be a trade brewing in the background

Oduya makes a heck of a lot of sense.

But you signed Klingberg to a longterm deal! Now if only he could play defence.

Joel Ward off to the Sharks on a 3 year deal, sad to see him go was one of my favourites but fully understand the clubs decision

Andrew Desjardins' AAV is a mere $800,000. Per his agent, he "took far less to stay. Loves it there." #Blackhawks

Great deal.

Simmons gets found out again unless Phil spent an hour a day walking through the city to buy a hot dog...
Simmons is a joke.

Derek Stepan arbitration should be interesting, might be more than the Rangers can afford.

Should have moved him if that was the case. Miller isn't going to do anything significant with this club.
Give the net to Lack and build a better team. Too late now.

I hear Bennning got a nice reception at the Canucks' little summit they had last night. Similar reception to what Subban gets in Boston.

South Stars just got even worse on defence, that can't be good.

You're a mile off with that one. Daley was Dallas' worst defenseman in the defensive zone last year (and before that) check out his advanced stats. he can put up offense, but we have Klinberg and Golisgoski who are adequatte enough with our offense generated from the blue line.

I would have been happy with Daley to bve to be traded for a 3rd round pick. But Happy to get Sharp and a D prospect, with Daley gone.

Sharp will be good with Spezza, even if it is only 1-2 years of value. We also picked up one of Chicagos best prospects a big shutdown physical defeseman, will be the biggest part of the trade in 2 years.

Dallas deensive outlook looks great for the future. Klinbgerg, Nemeth, Honka, Lindell, Oleksiak and now Johns

Yep, not good but it appears he was playing the tough minutes in direct comparison to Klingberg which would be expected. Daley will benefit from moving down the line up in Chicago.

Will be interesting to see how Klingberg steps up in his sophomore season with added responsibility and tougher match-ups.

Nemeth is the big one, he is probably the D man the team is most excited about the ability to play shutdown against the big fwds. he was injured last year, but everything he has shown he is hopefully ready to be the top 4 D we need from a shutdown perspective.

We still have ample cap room, there might be another addition made on D yet (hoping so anyway)
