umpiring is not great, but you gotta take the good with the bad, it's d2 footy.
plenty are willing to dig the boot in, not many to have a crack themselves.
After seeing one match where Close has a bad day and only kicks 6, he is an overrated hack and not a good footballer.
So how do you rate the rest of the comp then?
I thought you would be more of an Ivanhoe fan than most given your user name and the tune of Ivanhoe theme song, but I guess first...
looks like a season where the top 4 may not be settled until late.
Didn't get to see my boys Ivanhoe in action, dissapointing result against the Gryphs.
if they run that excuse, they're fools. We have played more games with any other side in England, have a smaller squad and our 2 centre halves are on long term injuries. (I gather you are not suggesting this, more so taking the piss glenferry?)
The Arse had about 10 passengers, only Wilshere...
Really, we're that bad?
Perhaps we should start wearing slacks to games.
Well played by YV in both games on the weekend, smashed us good and propper. Real shame we couldn't have at least celebrated 1 flag. Despite the 2 GF results, both sides have had enjoyable seasons with a great bunch...
Great effort by IAFC to qualify for both GF's, 2's holding on in a tight game, 1's coming home against the breeze!! club in good shape as it heads to D2, now just to make sure we take 2 flags with us.
50c post match hot dogs in the rooms at northcote along with a well intoxicated Jake Melksham and Sam Lonergan taking on kids in table tennis match. apparently melksham did a hammy...
ground in lovely condition, hope all the remaining d3 finals are at this venue.
looks like rain this weekend...
massive day on Sunday for the Hoe's with the 3 sides playing at Westgarth St.
Good location for us as just down the road, lovely ground to play on too. Would rather a Saturday, but the extra days break is good for these old legs...
I reckon Kew will get up in the other game, I won't be...
as a few clever punters predicted, Ivanhoe v Powerhouse was close all day. Conditions suited the PH big bodies and they made the Hoe work for it til the very end.
was very very heavy down at Power House thanks to the big rain on Friday night.
Should be another tough game against the Wicks...
Things hotting up.
Clearly YV are the team to beat, have been all year and will remain to be up until about 4.40pm on September 22. only question is will they be beat or won't they? My Ivanhoe bias says we can beat them, I'm sure if we played at our best we can. But we have to make it...
Ash "the Moose" close getting the job done for the Hoes. Lucky the AFL haven't brought in the mid-season draft yet, he has sent out a few DVD's to AFL clubs and has posted some self highlights on youtube, so we may have lost him for good!!
all 4 sides winning and each side had a player with...
Whoever wants to win will have to be Yarra, which looks like a fair challenge...
The big Pie man had a crack, tough day in the wet at CHF, but as usual he doesn't get beaten in many contests and is a great target to have up there.
IVANHOE officially getting serious in 2012.UHS v Powerhouse. Normal group of spectators except THE SPY who parked myself between the 2 teams & then decided to use THE TOP of a rubbish bin to write down the stats for both teams. Going well except he forgot people wanted to use the bin!! More than...
was the clear turning point in the game, Ivanhoe kicked something like 18 goals to 1 once the rain started.
Big Bustling Barrel Francis like a pig in mud, and dominating the off field action.
Solid win for the Hoes over Kew. Great to see a win for Duck's 200th.
Big Ash kicking 6, on fire.
My man Francis, the bustling Barrel, injured, hopefully gets it right for this week.
pretty sure WCE probably helped spread the rumours re Darlings behavioural problems and drinking etc... Just like the bombers talked up Dyson Heppels "groin injuries".
If other clubs are not going to do the proper research themselves then bad luck.
let me guess, he plays full forward and kicked 5 on the weekend...
unfortunately, Yarra deserved to be happy with themselves, far better side all day!!
