Not sure if this has been officially communicated anywhere yet so apologies if this is old news to anyone.

I was out at the Toff in Town (nightclub in Melbourne CBD) on saturday night when I bumped into Sugar. Firstly let me say he was a terrific bloke and stood and had a chat to me for a few minutes. I asked him what capacity he would be filling at the club next year and he told me that he is no longer part of the Richmond footy club. He said that he had wanted to dip his toes in and see if it was for him and he had realised that it wasn't his passion. He now plans to spend next year travelling before thinking about the next phase of his career. He officially left the club after the last game of the season.

Any ideas whether the club is likely to replace him or whether this role will become void when the new panel is assembled? Also any thoughts on who would be good in that developmental role?
 
I was also under the impression he would stay on.

But after the amount of years he's had in footy it would be a good choice to do something different for a while simply to freshen up.

He was really just a fill in for the year after he retired with no real title, so it's a void role.

It's like how at work where any email that has SPAM in the subject field, I choose to filter is straight through to 'delete' without having to read them.
Oxx must have something similar except it alerts him to read anything posted that contains sugar, KJ, Kane or Johnson.
 
Probably interesting to note that Kane wasn't at the B+F last week.
Apparently he was stuck in Thailand or somewhere like that due to a hurricane. So they announced that he would not make it.

Funnily enough Tambling was supposed to be in the same airport.
Guess who arrived about an hour later on crutches... you guessed it Richie rocked up !

He received a phone call whilst relaxing on the couch and was told to make his way to Crown due to the fact that he would eventually finish 4th.

As for Kane - what an arseh*le!!!

Pisses in a public place when he was captain and when the club arsholes him,he doesn't have the balls to publicly admit he was told he wasn't needed.

Same as frawley.....

Ashame we chose people like this ro put in pivotal positions.

Add Gaspar and Bowden to the list - neither able to admit they were given the ars - ir all comes out in the rinse...

quite liked him as a player, was never worst though rarely best. A bit... meh.

Then again I liked loads of players everyone seems to hate. Tivva, Hardigan, Chaffey and the Kellaways. and Gaspar. (sure heard our backs a lot on the radio those days...). Anyone wearing Black and yellow basically. even had a thing for Rory, cheered every point.
