He has been the most pleasing player in the first two games IMO. The antithesis of the stereotypical Bulldog, he has been great in his role up forward. Before the season fans struggled to find a place for him in the starting 18. After such a promising start to his career, he found it difficult to find a role in the side. Finally I think he has a clear purpose for being in the side.

10 tackles in his first 2 games are more what he is about than the 2 goals he has scored, I would love to see the amount of indirect assists he has provided. Just an absolute bull.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. When Mitch Hahn plays well we rarely lose.

He has been colossal for us in the first 2 rounds. His physical assertiveness in contests is what often breaks up opposition defences. It takes 2-3 blokes to stop him in a tackle so when he releases it leaves an overlap for our speed merchants. Then when he lays a tackle he cuts them in half.

Hahn is to us what Hamill is to St Kilda.

I forgot to actually say the same thing in my post. Only difference is I guess Hamill is more KP like, offering contests, marks while Hahn is a bull once ball hits the ground (not that Hamill isn't either).

Another player who has benefited from a strong finish to last year even though some people thought he played poorly late last year. From probably the Stkilda game on last year his work rate went up 3 fold and he started putting in 3,4 and 5 efforts around the ball. The penny seems to have dropped for him and he is working harder than he ever has before. He is the sort of guy that would be a big chance for a Norm Smith if we were ever lucky enough to make a Grand Final.

I dont know why but he just looks more intimidating without all the shoulder padding as well.

Good calls. He and Robbins were inspirational yesterday. The more intense the game, the more Hahn seems to thrive.

With Hahn, Robbins and Morgan working hard in the forward line to keep it in, the pressure on opposition defenders in our 50 has been great.
Hahn's effect on the first 2 games has been immeasurable.
He's the consummate guy where stats don't matter. it's the effect he has around the ball which is huge.

hes not as dog-mean as hamil - probably had a happy childhood or something...

still height isnt everything - glen archer is 182cm!

you need a few guys like that in the team. their intensity at the contest is infectious.

He seems to be a better shot on goal when he is being tackled as well. When lining up for a set shot a couple blocks should get a hold of his jumper and try and drag him down. The fight tends to get the best out of him

Yes! We must do this. Mitch misses standing shots anyway-at least your way it makes it interesting.

Hahn is a great player. His decision making and disposal / goal kicking looks to be improving, the goal he slotted on the weekend from the 4th effort, AMAZING.

His strength and versatility will be very handy come finals time. He crushes the packs hard, and isn't afraid to get in and under. A player of his size with these attributes is great. Once his disposal and goal kicking becomes even better, he will become one of the most damaging midfielders in the comp.

looks like his shoulder reconstruction has done him a world of good, certainly improved his confidence!
GO THE MITCH! :thumbsu:

Good point sm, he has the capacity to make something out of nothing and loves breaking tackles. He seems to kick more accuratley for goal if he has no time and is off balance; remember the couple he kicked against the Wallipuds in Rd 1 last year? He spent most of last year playing throught he pain barrier and with limited flexibility.
Great to see him fit and fearless again. As I've been saying for some time now he would be in my 22 everyweek, he represents grunt with a capital "G". Furthermore he complements the skills and approaches of the other forwards and when on the ball is dangerous and a long kick.

Agree with comments so far - when the ********** hits the fan in the midfield Boyd or Hahn tend to get the nod to get in the centre to sort it out.

Has played defence on some bigger names as well. More valuable to the team than most opposition supporters would give him credit for.
