Just noticed he was named best for Calder this week after kicking 4 goals last week and being among the best. Hows he developing? will he make it at AFL level or too early to tell? any indication that Essendon may draft him next year?

Saw an article about 3-4 months ago. His coach was a big rap for him. Seem to remember him saying things like he was a very team oriented player. Has mainly been playing full back, but was obvioulsy thrown foward with great results. Too young for this draft. Son of Anthony.

Developing very nicely playing at CHF. Needs to continue to work on speed and agility. F/S selection for Essendon next year.:thumbsu:

Good, heard his name earlier in the season and then hadn't heard anything of him again...was worried he dropped off the radar. Obviously hadn't heard of him because he's not available this year.

I think he would definetly prefer Essendon to Sydney being from Victoria and i have heard his more of a bomber fan. Should be good next year.

Played for Aberfeldie in the EDFL so is a local boy and i'd be quite surprised if he didn't end up at Essendon if hes good enough.

Did Anthony play 100 + games for the Dons ?

I do remeber him being there, but have more clearer memories of his days as a Swan.

Good defender - had a bit of an E.T. neck going on there.......

Yes he did.

The kid will want to play AFL, therefore, if Sydney take a keen interest in him and Essendon dont show much, he will go there. He does have family in NSW as we all know

Given where Jake Foulds was this time last year, and whats being said now (nada), I'm not getting my hopes up anytime soon.

Jake Foulds may have lost interest in football. And hasn't featured in any Cannons games. Darcy Daniher was picked in the Vic Metro squad but was injured. Don't put both of these players in the same basket ants:thumbsu:

I have heard he has had a few niggling injuries, but has been unable to play through them like most players would. Buckleys of been picked up F/S by us.

The kid can play and i was speakin to a sydney recruiter and he said that if they can lure him then they will. Big chance that it will be like the murphy situation where a club will have to offer a lucrative deal to gain his services . He comes from a very pleasent family and we can only hope he make it in the big league.

he is an essendon supporter, so he should be choosing us before sydney

I'm comparing them because a year out they were both talked up. A number of neutral observers last year were saying Foulds might go top 10 (even top 5) this year, which it was argued was why we took Neagle last year rather than waiting a year (as he wouldn't be worth a 2nd round pick this year).

I don't see these kids, I don't know them or their motivation. I'm just saying given what hopes I had about Jake after reading about him a year before the draft, I'm not going to start having the same hopes about anyone else after being burnt.

Whoever said that about him was a dill. Played 4 games of TAC last year, without really having a good one. It was always going to be 50/50 as to whether we would F/S him this year. Given his injury/state of mind problems, it looks like we won't.
