This is how it works, you get 40 players and you choose them pick by pick.
Your first pick is your captain. I got this idea from rizzo. You pick a coach, but he must be a coach at the moment or have coached AFL. He must still be alive. All slots are open now except Collingwood which I've got.

No-one can pick until their all signed up and if two teams have the same player player on different picks. The one who's pick is higher gets him. The order of picks is in what order you sign up.
Once you have your team you can trade players and pick up draft pick and if players want we can start up a competition next year!

When everyone's set you can write down the players who you want from those picks and those that have the same player. The higher pick gets him.

Pick order:
1) Collingwood- The Lonie Range
2) Geelong- phil daly
3) Essendon- mcphee is a gun
4) West Coast- andrew embley
5) Melbourne- Broadbridge 20
6) Richmond- fahmi
7) Sydney- dougthelegend
8) Carlton- lozza31

It's the way these draft-your-squad games work. See Football Australia, SCUFFL etc

So this is how it works - all the players in the AFL are up for grabs??? We choose them when its our pick, and we pick a team for next year??? And what about the draft this year???


Can you write a better explanation, im keen to play. Just want to understand how its gonna work

I'll give you an example:
Pick 1) Collingwood- Buckley still
Pick 2) Geelong- Michael Voss
Pick 3) Essendon- Hird
Pick 4) Hawthorn- Ricciuto

After captains you choose other players.

Pick 17) Collingwood- Tredra
Pick 18) Geelong- Lloyd
Pick 19) Essendon- Scarlett

Or something like that.

Example 2.

Pick 20) Hawthorn- Barry Hall
Pick 21) Port Power- Barry Hall

Then Hawthorn with the higher pick would get him, understand?

Then we select draft picks on how the team went this year.
Richmond- 1
Hawthorn- 2
Bulldogs- 3
Collingwood- 4

And so on and so fourth. Then next year. The ranking points from the Herald Sun or whatever for the player we add together and we have like a fixture that each team plays. We can decide whether to change the teams names or not. We get 40 and choose 22 players with 3 emergencies. You can change them each week but we'll get to that when it happens!
 
Ok cool, I get that bit. What about the draftees this year??? And also, once we get our team, how do we play games??? Or we wait till next year, and then just use player stats to determine the best team?
