RULES
Your scores in the AE Confidence Tipping (on Yahoo) will determine your score in Next Duel.

If in a weekly game two people are tied on the same pts for that week, the game will be declared a TIE.

It is a Head-to-Head contest. All 44 people are split into 11 divisions of 4 people.

You will play your division rivals twice in the season (6 games) and will play another 7 games.

Total 13 regular season games.

Week 14 of the NFL Season will be the start of the Next Duel Playoffs.

All 11 division winners plus 5 Wild Cards (next best record) will make up the playoffs (total 16 teams).

The tie-breaker procedures for divisions and playoff spots will replicate the NFL tie-breaker system.

Week 14 (week one of playoffs), 16 teams in a knockout format.

Week 15 (week two of playoffs), 8 playoff winners will be left in a knockout format.

Week 16 (week three of playoffs), the remaining 4 teams in a knockout playoff.

Week 17 is the Next Duel Superbowl, where there's only a 1st prize awarded. So there's added tension as one person will miss out.

I got screwed by a come from behind 1 point win to Judy last week:mad:,making me a loser in every single BF game I was part of, my eyes have been looking forward ever since mcgarnacle:) expect some unexpecteds

Even though Statsman74 picked Dallas with a CR of '6' , I have no doubt he is hoping for a Eagles victory as Kimirocks has bases loaded (16 BIg ones) with Dallas and currently trails his NEXT DUEL opponent by 5.

Moo & Peterbuch74 are separated by the narrowest of margins and a Philly WIN allows Peterbuch74 to go 2-0 in his division.

If the Eagles can WIN, Island Bomber snatches a tie against wce_all_da_way even though Island Bomber has Dallas @ 11.

Eagles fan, Cassius Clay will reap 3 1-2-3 HUT points as a bitter sweet reward.

And even though camsmith doesn't care to admit it, an EAGLES WIN will be MASSIVE for his AE redemption.. hmmm, MNF vs Cowboys again.. yikes!!

Galactic can also do with a EAGLES WIN, means he tops the AE scoresheet this week. (tie-breaker handy!!)

I'm torn actually. With a tie last week in the Duel, plus a result that is up in the air this week, starting tie/win would be good...but I'm not sure if I want that at the expense of the main comp.

This afternoon I sent a email post to Yahoo Pick'em with the request to get our AE updated scores adjusted to the original 16-1 format as was the case after they announced the postponement and as GG points out, we will not be compromised to scaling back to their 15-1 format. The 1-2-3 HUT comp did not warrant to be compromised and neither will the overall AE scores.

Let me point out a few things also:

Kimirocks had CR of 14 wasted on the Balt-Hous game but only difference of 2 points between 16-1 (98) as opposed to 15-1 (96) scoring format. Still WINS his ND result.

Moo had CR of 11 wasted on the Balt-Hous game but only difference of 4 points between 16-1 (93) as opposed to 15-1 (89) scoring format. Still WINS his ND result.

Showbag had CR of 9 wasted on the Balt-Hous game but only difference of 5 points between 16-1 (88) as opposed to 15-1 (83) scoring format. Still WINS his ND result.

Blastfurnace had CR of 9 wasted on the Balt-Hous game but only difference of 6 points between 16-1 (94) as opposed to 15-1 (88) scoring format. Still WINS his ND result.

Redragger had CR of 8 wasted on the Balt-Hous game but only difference of 7 points between 16-1 (105) as opposed to 15-1 (98) scoring format. Still WINS his ND result.

GeeCats07 had CR of 9 wasted on the Balt-Hous game but only difference of 7 points between 16-1 (94) as opposed to 15-1 (87) scoring format. Still WINS his ND result.

Apex had CR of 5 wasted on the Balt-Hous game but only difference of 8 points between 16-1 (90) as opposed to 15-1 (82) scoring format. Still WINS his ND result.

And even though the likes of Wizard (11), Superfreak (10) and TACHawks (9) were unfortunate to miss out on their CR points on the Hous-Balt game, the NEXT DUEL result would not have changed with their respective opponents.

Wizard difference of 2, no impact vs Apex
Superfreak difference of 3, no impact vs Dspeed
TACHawks difference of 4, no impact vs Crowman23.

Also it's worth noting JeffDunne TOP SCORED for the week, regardless whether it's 15-1 or 16-1 proper format and considering I personally bombed with a low score, how can anyone fathom that I ought to get the 'better of the difference' by coming out 5 points the better with the 15-1 format rather staying true with the original 16-1???

Yahoo Pick'em seemed to have bowed meekly to some 'outside pressure' of changing to the 15-1 CR point format AFTER SIX days, but we will continue running the AE with integrity and give the correct points (16-1 CR) allocations on both AE & 1-2-3 HUT comps.

Also think of being in JD's shoes this week, having top scored, why would you want to deny yourself of earning premium points (118) rather than insufficient points of (106) ???
