In yesterday's Herald Sun, there was a brief snippet announcing that Alan Richardson has been appointed as an Assistant Coach to Peter Rohde at the Western Bulldogs.

This did surprise me a bit - Richardson had been doing well as coach of Coburg. Maybe the appointment of Brittain shut the door on him a little, thus forcing him to move.

I think what has happened at Richmond preseason has been great. Brittian is a senior AFL coach, Miller has been involved in premierships. All good.
A shuffle in the coaching department is what we needed at the start of this year. New Ideas, different voices. all looks good for a quick rise back into the eight. Fingers crossed. Richardsons loss will be a door opening for some new ideas.

I went to the Coburg B&F on friday night and had a chat with
Al and none of this surfaced - All the best to him because he is a bloody good coach too...
