Awesome pics sum up Dave Ashbury perfectly

Well done Dave on a great career. Lots of great players never get to see the ultimate glory & you were lucky enough to do this 3 times. Also bring so much joy over the past 5 years to us long suffering Tigers supporters. It will be big shoes to cover as we had a well oiled machine in the backline, which in my eyes were largely responsible for being able to get our 3 premierships. Best of luck with whatever you choose to do in life after this season is over.

Best speech I’ve heard. Amazing really.
I’m really glad I’ve now heard a Richmond footballer describe how much this teams success means to the fans. That 2017 finals series. I’ve never experienced anything like it and may never again. So happy to hear they understand this.
I can’t thank this current team enough. Im sure you all feel the same that these guys may as well be family.

Amazing speech. What a tough week it is becoming...

My favorite memory memory of Dave was the game against Essendon, where Caddy did something dumb, and Dave ran across to him, slapped him and then set him straight. That's a true leader, and something we lacked prior to our recent success. In fact, we BUILT that success with our leaders, and Dave was one of them.

My favorite Tiger "line" used to be - Keane, Jess, Landy. It is now Grimes, Rance, Astbury... Although technically not correct, but these three will be remembered the same, I'm sure.

Thanks for everything Dave - You will be missed.
