Speedy, smooth player, from the GWS Giants. Traded alongside Kurt Aylett for Pick 48, in a steal for the Bombers. Was also heavily tipped to head to Adelaide during the 2013 trade period for pick 46, but Essendon won through on the day, and awarded Edwards with a three year deal, which will see him remain a Bomber until the end of 2016.

Played at GWS in 2011 in their year in the NEAFL, before debuting against the Crows in Round 4, 2012.
