And probably had more impact than anyone on here would have in about 5 of them.

I'm sure he's a lovely bloke and the bestest trainer ever but its an indictment on the AFC and its selection policies that he made it past 50.
5 more than anyone in here eh? Also not his fault he was selected. He obviously did everything asked of him.

But the thing is... every Club has peripheral players. Before DMac there was Doughty. Not brilliant players in their own right, but work in a team environment. You can't have 22 out and out stars.

Not this again, average players don’t get to 200 games, well they shouldn’t. Now before you go bump your post which listed 200 game players from each club, name some who Mackay is on par with

Is Mackay really that good that he can only be displaced by an out and out star?

Is that you Campo?;)

So you are in the "Sorry Jack, I know you want to come back to the Crows from GC, but our forward line is full right now" camp

That is a very different situation compared to drafting a kid. If Jack comes, it does not matter who the incumbent is, he wins that fight day one due to the insanely high price it'll cost us which would force us to justify it. A recently drafted pick 6 runs the risk of being stuck behind a Lynch, Tex, Fogarty and not getting game time.

Would I support going after Luko? I'm unsure. I'd need to see a genuine plan with it and not just "he's Souf Aussie *drools*". Otherwise, it runs the risk of trying to win trade week without a genuine purpose to it.

Regardless of what you think of him.... he's played 200 more AFL games than anyone in here.

Yeh, but....well...I mean....ok then.

Still he wasn't on anyone here's radar until Ogilvie outed him.
No, to be fair 1990crow posted that Newchurch could be the mystery player in October after reading about him in the Crows Academy instagram - I remember that, because I joked that hiding a mystery player on Instagram seemed a bad tactic.

The Erin Phillips rumour, is that considering a position at our football club in an off field role? Os something else so isnt going to play this season?

I don’t actually know what it is apart from permanent, the guy who told me didn’t know much either, I’d have a guess that it might be something similar to what she does in the states ( which I think is a brand development type role) our broader image could really use a specialist atm
Source has been pretty good in the recent past. ( same guy that told me mark stone wasn’t going to be involved at all, about a month before he announced it)

Richmond fans seem to be convinced Green will end up at Richmond within 4 years.

Knowing their luck it'll probably happen
Richmond's luck ?? Do people really have memories that short ?? They've been good and a respected side for what, a bit over 2 and a half years. I played footy with a couple of Richmond fans up until a few years ago and it got to the stage where they either wanted to off themselves or fight you every time you spoke about the AFL.

Yeah their luck, it is exactly like Hawthorn a decade earlier, they were close to a merge they were that bad then they won one and every semi decent player wanted to go there.

Im sure it'll happen to Carlton if they win one in the next decade.

The AFL like and want Victorian powerhouse clubs, that win lots of Premierships ie Geelong, Hawthorn you can soon add Richmond to the list.
