There's the opener! Valon Barisha with the bullet set piece delivery and Leckie with the finish.

Hang on... A VAR check for Tilio being offside. Gets the thumbs up and justice is served with the goal standing

Huge double save from Glover. He's made a few good ones tonight to keep the score 1-0. How did that not end up in the back of the net. 2nd one was incredible.

Sydney's first decent attacks in 30 minutes.

This the best looking pitch Sydney can serve up ?
It's an absolute potato paddock down the cove end. Surely this isn't still from the Ed Sheeran concert????

Defenders will be happier without the terrible bounces etc. Attackers not thrilled with the ability for slick moves.

Could be a huge advantage of you catch the defenders out trying to move the ball will skill and get a favourable bobble.

Reis was horrid giving away the penalty. VAR again saved city with an offside call after a terrible clearance.

Sydney sat back in the last 20 and City didn't over push for a winner. A typical first leg where teams don't want to give up too much with the risk of conceding.

Will be interesting to see how the Adelaide CCM game plays out, if it's a tight affair or a bit more attacking

Wowza 15mins in and it's 1-1! Adelaide open the scoring with a Goodwin penalty, and McGarry hammers one from outside the area and Gauci can only watch it sail into the net.

If we weren’t semi final bridesmaids before, then we are very close to it. We are the A-Leagues version of Port (Adelaide), as in fall a game short of making the big dance.

I’m just about done.

Loved the tactical move last night to bring on Farrell as soon as Irankunda came off the bench to man mark him. Even taking off the goal scorer in McGarry.

Worked well to keep him from causing too much havoc (but still a few chances).

How will Adelaide counter this next week?
