Hiatus in printing - I got two 1kg reels of filament but the spools are just a few mm too wide for the holder on my machine...

Have to hack the holder with my dremel, or print up a cool one I downloaded, which rests the spool on four skate board wheel bearings.

Or maybe send the filament back to the company where you bought it from and tell them that it's just a bit too big for your machine.

I'd contact their support section as well to get help just in case something you do goes wrong.
