almost certainly some random South Adelaide player.
Did any other clubs (bar Port Adelaide for 71-72) use Adelaide Oval as their home ground?

This doesn't really answer the question but is worth considering. Jack "Dinnie" Reedman played league football from 1887 - 1909 (missing the 1908 as non-playing coach of West Adelaide). He played for Hotham, North Adelaide (mark 2), South Adelaide and North Adelaide (mark 3). All these clubs played their "home" games on Adelaide Oval. Unfortunately Reedman's final tally of games has never been properly worked out. I would estimate, despite the shortened seasons in those days, he played at least 250 games of which the vast majority would have been on Adelaide Oval. I'm still working on Farmer's Adelaide Oval total for you.

Ken Farmer kicked 347 goals in 54 games on Adelaide Oval (average 6.43 p/g). He was never goalless on Adelaide Oval. His games total was 224 so he played just under a quarter of his total games on Adelaide Oval.

What an absolute freak. No one would get anywhere near that average.

That SNAFL society sounds like tremendous fun.
Its blokes like the late John Wood and the late John Sincock who were Port's historians and members of the society.

Does anyone have the 1985 Redlegs yearbook.
try getting in touch with Winston Heading, the curator of the redlegs museum. He can head you in the right direction( if he doesn't know) on pretty much all to do with the Redlegs.
