The corresponding game last year was probably a lot of fun as a neutral but really irritating for both sides supporters.
Up and back all afternoon with 15 goals each, Essendon just had a slight upper hand all day.

Adelaide scored 3 goals in a row in the 3rd and snatched the lead but Essendon were more efficient overall with the ball camped closer to their 50 most of the game.

Both sides have have lost games by less than a kick to the top 2 sides, home and away.
Essendon haven't played much at Marvel this year, despite it being their actual home ground? Struggled against North and the Saints there.

Essendon's midfield have to dominate to win IMHO, Adelaide has too much firepower up forward and an even contest in the middle will mean Adelaide win by pure efficiency.

Good Adelaide play = Adelaide by 25
Hopeless Adelaide play= Essendon by 30

Cmon Adelaide - win the Mason Redman Cup this week

Played Saints at the MCG.

We’ve only played Gold Coast, GWS and North there this year, won them all (though as you alluded to - not overly convincing wins).

Will be an interesting game. Walker will be a handful. But Adelaide are not the best on the road and Essendon were unlucky last week.

Big game, potential to really shape the eight. Both teams will be up for it.

Astounding level of arrogance this week from the Bombers fans who mostly think this is a done deal victory. Crows will win.
Classic straw man argument. There wouldn't be a majority of Bomber supporters who see this as a 'done deal'. On the contrary, most of us have been burned too often to take any win for granted
Many on our board were nervous even before the game against WCE.!

Furthermore, I just rechecked the match preview thread on our board and the discussion is almost entirely about suggested team changes rather than predictions of the result. So is your allegation of arrogance by most Bomber fans based on 2 of 3 posters on this thread picking we win a home game by 10 or 19 points( hardly anyone's idea of a done deal), or are you just making it up as you go?

Mainly this. Gotta start getting some heat into this kitchen. :fire::fire::fire:
