A joint bid on the region would avoid ovals being used eg in melbourne they would preferably use etihad. Mcg is oval nearly round and its not seriously going to be used for a fifa world cup final. A modified sydney olympic stadium would be the prime option
With scg now 50k the SA could revert to pure rectangular


Also a second option for 2022 would se the host country(s) with much more ability to dictate back to fifa

People who followed this will have had a wry smile when lowy and FFA complained about a possible move of the qatar world cup to the northern winter, that it would impinge on and disrupt the a league season, and compensation would be required.
