Hey everyone, seriously thinking about heading to the GP in March. Any tips on the best places to watch the action around the track? Also, thinking about staying in Geelong with the rellos and trekking it to Albert Park each day. Doable or just stay reasonably close to the track? Anything else I should know? TIA.

admitedly, i haven't been to the GP in melb (did adelaides a few times)

get there nice and early. it's pretty cool what you see on at the track early in the morning.

Don't head there thinking: 'surely like any loud event (airshow etc) they'll provide free or at worst cheap earplugs.'

The pricks want to charge $10 a pair last time I was there. Good news is that there are are some music stores in South Melb that have them for a dollar or two.

Then again as MWNN said, might not need it this year. The NIMBYs will be happy.

Tbh, it's been a long time since I've been to a GP. So I'm not sure I can give advice. Nowadays, I might go if I was offered a free pass to a premium section, or definitely if, somehow, I was competing in a support class.

SO the only advice I'd give is to take photos, and bump the photos thread.

Kayyy????
