Australian Rules game for iOS/Android

In my spare time I make games for mobile phones and I've started making an Australian Rules football inspired game and I just wanted to get some feedback from people to see if you think it's a good idea or a complete waste of time.

It's a good idea, but as noted it's difficult to get a sense of the game or how it works from the one image you've posted.

And don't give up on handballs entirely - maybe if there's a button to quickly get rid of the ball to the closest player? Not sure the controls system, so this may not work.
