Hopefully the word is starting to get out more, and we've already had some captains confirm their interest in restoring this league/competition in some form so I wanted to start a Q&A/Details thread. A few things have been floated and Id like some brainstorming done for everyone to have say in how things will be done.

Confirmed:
Six Teams:

Woodpeckers - Smartys Power
Phoenix - The Half Back
Crocs - eth-dog
Furies - fumbler
WC Warriors - Ljp86
Victoria - boncer34

Myself simming

Games to be posted NOT on Sundays, which day do people prefer?

Possible:

5 or 10 round seasons? Rotate between a 50 over season, Test season and T20 or T25 depending on Sim availability

Minimum team numbers? 15? Max 25? We are not aiming for SFA level thread activeness as thats a fairly unrealistic aim, as most people would have SFA as a priority over this league.

No preference for game day.
When you post test matches you can post one day at a time like a normal test?
T25 games can be knockout?
Home and away Test = 10 games.
One Dayers are boring so don't care.
Think Maximum was 15? It get's boring for those not playing to have to many.

Start with a 5 round season One Day season, finish before Christmas.
Minimum of 12, max of 15 in a squad.
I don't mind seeing the T20 as a knockout format (or would a Test knock competition be easier and quicker to run?)
And as the teams grow, I wouldn't mind seeing a World Cup format One Day comp every so often.

The Test ones posted each day in a sort of real time thing could be a bit restrictive depending on schedules. I can find to Sim, and posting 25/one dayers wouldnt be a hassle for me, but doing all 5 days of a test spread over 5 days IRL could be a bit tricky. Something to look at.

The T25 games could be just a quick knockout style tournament, although with 6 teams it could be difficult, maybe if we can get active enough to have 8 sides, we can do a tournmament knockout bracket.

Have an OD comp to get things back underway, then a Test series.

Kinda like how they do the Aus domestic season. So smash out like 10 games each in a month then do a test match series with like 1 match per week.

If posting 5 consecutive days is a problem maybe have a team of posters like the SFA? Whoever is available can post.

That is also a possiblity to look into.

Your admin journey is already 100 times better than the SFA ones is.

So the Victards are a thing then Beng?

akkaps you'll always be relevant to me.

Yes, Victoria will take the place the Mariners would have. They already have a decent list and Ive put out feelers to the old Mariners to see whos interested in returning to either the Vics or another team if they wish.

Furies have a few inactives that could be dumped if any non Tiger wants to join.

Monies on the fridge.

I think we take baby steps.

5 round season.
25/25 and 50 over matches
12-15 man squads

We can build from there.
