I believe their list size is standard now and it has been mentioned in despatches that Griffen dislikes the Melbourne fishbowl atmosphere so would probably be content to sit out his final year in the neafl and then retire.

Your point on the salary dump is fair though, on several points.
a. No contracted player needs to leave.
b. No player has to come to us either.
