Harsh on Dawes. Neeld convincing Leigh Brown to pull the pin early and go coach at the Dees leaving Dawes being forced into the Ruck where he broke his knuckle may have had a factor in how he marked it.

He was forced into a role which was not familiar to him and caused a loss of form. Bucks didn’t entertain dissent and he was shipped off

From the U18 vic metro trials.

#17 Doug Kerr (Oakleigh Chargers)
Midfielder | 192cm | 03/08/2006

Kerr was dominant around the contest all day and positioned himself well around the stoppages. His ball delivery by foot was excellent and always managed to kick it into dangerous spots or hit targets whether that was via a usual composed delivery or a dump kick. Although he tended to lack composure at times especially under pressure, he made up for it with his follow up work and his work rate. Spent a bit of time up forward late in the third quarter and his set shot kicking for goal was neat.

Ease up Dougie, we need you to go outside the top 20 (assuming they lower the cut off again)

I dont think he's rated inside the top 30 even at this stage.
Its still currently top 40, prob still good chance he goes past that.

We want him to play well enough but not too well haha.

he is about to start school footy so we wont see him for a while.

APS about to start. Kerr will play for St Kevins (co-captain) with McCarthy for Carey.

Spoke to Ash Close, who was a surprise visitor this morning at training. Coaches the chargers.
He mentioned that Tadhg McCarthy has a foot injury. Should be back in 3-4 weeks, speaking to Tadhg, he said he did it in the game v Tassie. Some ligament damage.

Ash Close also mentioned how Luke plays similar to IQ, except a bit more timid. But they are teaching him to add a few more bows to his string. He's a good mark.

With Doug Kerr, said he's going well, and will be doing school footy for a bit now. Has draftable qualities, but may need to add a new position, maybe forward to his string, given there are so many quality mids in this draft.
But mentioned he'd def be outside top 40.

Gee 40 onwards was a tough ruling for Vic NGA, such a long shot from there.

Can you still put nga kids on as cat b rookies if no one drafts them?

I presume they'll want to keep that spot open in case Alex Condon is still a chance to join us.

Yeah but he prob will finish his college basketball first. So by that time. Three years, a cat b spot will be open
