Clearances starting and whilst we have lost Abdallah and Chivers, the biggest one I've noticed is Vuli from Prahran over to Glen Eira.

He would smash it in D3!

Not many recruits coming into Friar Park as yet but aside from a few retirements, not many losses - we are building from within with plenty of young talent.

Have heard that Ed Clinch is suiting up for Kew this year. A regular senior player at De La Salle and while by no means a stand out in ‘A’ grade he certainly will be in D1. Good enough to play 40 – 50 games of ‘A’ grade footy and still only young. From memory played in several Premier U19 flags and placed in a comp B & F at that level. A very handy pick up for the Bears if the mail is correct.

Couldn't really see Mal Michael having an impact even if he was playing. He's almost 40! Hasn't he been coaching in some country league for the past couple of seasons?
Silly post he's only 37, no weight on and will be playing for Ormond. Hows that.
We now have the time honoured AM and now an imposter under the name AmmoFooty, its like 2 horses called Black Cavier , one's elite and the other one is glue

Well I suppose thats a good pick up for Ormond then. I would definitely not fancy lining up on him if he is in good shape. Whats the connection out of interest?

His dad played for Ormond and always told him what a great club it was and before you finish playing you have to go there and that's what he's doing. Great fella and is fitting in well. Has been coaching Aberfeldie in the city. Some little fellas in D1 are in for a shock when they line up against him and Matt Martinov.

Even if he isn't in peak condition, on their tiny ground he will be able to make plenty of contests and hit it hard.

Might teach a few KP players a thing or two in the process.

A very good get. Scary!

If Ormond is tiny, what is St Mary's. E E Gunn isn't big, but its not tiny. Big Mal is as excited to play as any new player at a club

Any relation to the former fieldy who never gave the Monders much of a go? ;)

Correct. Ed is the son of Steve. Steve was a one time player and then president of CBC Old Boys until taking up the whistle. There was an intense ACC school rivalry between CBC and De La years ago and for that reason we felt he never gave De La much of a go either ! That of course was rubbish but we convinced ourself it was true at the time. Ironic that he then sent his sons to De La and became a great clubmen. Was assistant coach of the unders in a couple of premiership years and then helped out Greg McLoughlin with the seniors for a few years. Was senior team manager last year.

Aha! On second thoughts, think he did give the Monders one free kick. Signalled the wrong way and decided to run with it.:)

Great to a see a former AFL player putting something back into the club. Wouldn't want to be standing in the way when big Mal has a full head of steam up.

Maybe in 2005, Martinov is on the verge of embarrassing himself, should of hung them up.

He will make you pay goose. Where is your mob playing this year , Donvale ?

You are the easiest person to bait on bigfooty, can always count on you for a bite.
