Besides insinuating that Anderson got off because of the nationality of the adjudicator in his second article he makes mention to India wanting to fly home in 2008 but no mention it was due to India's own sledging of Andrew Symonds.

I got on Twitter to mention this to him but he doesn't seem the Twitter type.

Not sure what he gains out of it besides bashing Australia but seems like quite poor journalism

Never really taken notice of his articles before but found these two interesting.

Has he always hated Australia?

India's behaviour in this most recent instance casts their behaviour back in 2008 in a new light. Remember Anil Kumble throwing his toys out of the pram and claiming 'only one team was playing in the spirit of the game', despite the fact it was one of his players accused of racial vilification. Now we have the Indians pushing a trumped up charge in a bid to get Anderson rubbed out. Reminds me a little bit of them pressuring the New Zealand board into exiling Shane Bond, their only truly world-class player at the time.

India want to make the rules. When they get their arses handed to them, they cry.

I remember thinking in 2008 that India were given a far more sympathetic hearing than they deserved. Consider that Kumble's statement was allowed to pass, even be endorsed, without anyone pointing out at that, hang on, calling a dark-skinned player a monkey isn't really in the spirit of the game. And when that charge was rightfully brought up, the Indians threatened to go home, leading to the charge ultimately being whitewashed.

Just think about that. All the piety that surrounds combating racism and how it's totally unacceptable. Then an Indian player racially abuses an opponent but Australia were the bad guys in this exchange?

I'd like to think India wouldn't find such a compliant Australian media if that episode happened today. Maybe it's taken the intervening years of mediocrity for some people to rediscover their appreciation of old-fashioned Australian mongrel. Maybe we now have a clearer understanding of the fact the Indians are knobs and deserved everything they got.

Derek who?

DR (or should be DH?) Pringle v Australia - Tests:
Ave with the bat: 20.14
Ave with the ball: 57.77

DR Pringle v Australia - ODI:
Ave with the bat: 11.00
Ave with the ball: 52.57

Just another damaged Pom who could do with some counselling.

His and Martin Samuel's articles during the Ashes were a seriously good read. Not because of any thought provoking analysis, but because they so thoroughly captured England's pre-series arrogance, followed by incessant whinging, tantrum throwing and wrist slitting when things went south.

Pringle was a better cricketer than a journo (lol)

Especially Samuel's. They were unintended comedy gold.
