Great season from the team, having chosen to go up a division making finals alone is a great achievement.

Plenty to learn from the year, PEGS, OC and Kew all extremely high quality sides in both the ones and twos.

Good luck to those whose seasons are still alive, the winners will most definitely have earned it.

I have no doubt we will enjoy our off-season and come back stronger next year as we have done consistently for years now.

Yes, agree. GE should only improve next year with their composition of young players. Seems that they are building towards some success. It felt like OC were going to run away with the game early in the 2nd quarter but GE managed to fight their way back into the contest (kicking the last 5 or 6 goals of the term to bring the scoreline back to parity at the break) which was great viewing. OC, with the breeze in the 3rd, were able to create a small buffer. Although GE fought hard in the final term (and had a few half chances to get themselves back into the game), OC defended very well and earned the win in the end.

Kew v OC should be a cracker next week. I can't see either team being able to overcome PEGS the following week. But crazier things have happened ...

Adhoc and diamond whatever are the epitome of hatred in football. No one is to blame haters. The club and coach volunteered the club to go up a division. That took guts. They made the finals in a higher division. That took guts. Firsts, seconds and under 19s all went up a division and made the finals, yet these two nondescripts are carrying on like carrion waiting for a kill. GE are one of the best run and financial clubs in the VAFA. They were club champions in 2021. Their former President has given more by being elected to the VAFA board. You guys must ooze hatred. Get a life and look at positives rather than negatives rather than sitting in a dark room behind your keyboards denigrating clubs you know nothing of.

Pinged just the once for constant pushing scragging and holding of opponent. The game was stopped for 5 minutes whilst the aforementioned individual laid on the ground, appeared over-tired. Eventually popped up after catching his breath to continue activities with the protection of the guys in green.
