This is a pretty unoriginal list, just highlighting how much of a fanboi I am. The clubs not mentioned nobody really stood out in my mind immediately and that's not to say there aren't players from those clubs I don't enjoy watching - there is. Some of these players really appreciate the fact their an AFL footballer and that's great. Others are brilliant to watch and I can't help but like them... Gary Ablett jnr is a freak and the best footballer I've seen. My favourite player at the Power would be Travis Boak.

Adelaide: Scott Thompson
Brisbane: Simon Black
Collingwood: Scott Pendlebury
Essendon: Jobe Watson
Fremantle: Nathan Fyfe
Gold Coast: Gary Ablett jnr
GWS: Toby Greene
Hawthorn: Buddy Franklin
Melbourne: Jack Trengove
Sydney: Josh Kennedy
West Coast: Luke Shuey
Footscray: Adam Cooney

I'm always more interested to hear why someone from another club is a favourite, without context it just seems weird.

A bit of a theme here favouring contested possession winners. Really respect players who put their body on the line for their team.

Adelaide: Rory Sloane - Looks like Jane, but plays like Tarzan. Tough no, no fuss, with a touch more consistency over 4 quarters he will destroy teams.
Brisbane: Simon Black - I used to hate the bloke because he cut us to pieces so many times. Champion of the game who's done it all yet strangely gets forgotten at times.
Carlton: Andrew Carazzo - Basically the only Carlton player I don't hate. Another no fuss player who tags the way it should be done, minimal scragging while playing both ways.
Collingwood: Luke Ball - A big fan from his early days at St Kilda. Kills himself for his team. Barely a game goes by where his head isn't bandaged.
Essendon: Jobe Watson - Timmy was my favourite player growing up, so this is a no brainer.
Fremantle: Nat Fyfe - James Hird 2.0
Geelong: Jimmy Bartel - Ultimate clutch player and all round nice guy.
Gold Coast: Gary Ablett - If he continues the way he's going, will end up the greatest player ever. I go to every GC game in Melbourne I can just to watch him play.
GWS Giants: Jeremy Cameron - Haven't seen a big man look this imposing in his first year since Nick Riewoldt. Will be something special.
Hawthorn: Brad Sewell - One of the only Hawks I like, another tough extractor. Was a favourite before hand, but his work on 360 has done him no harm.
Melbourne: Jack Grimes - Really classy kid who keeps getting crushed by injury. The epitomey of Melbourne, kind of feels that if he keeps his body together, Melbourne will get their shit together.
North Melbourne: Andrew Swallow - Not much else to like down Arden Street. Has had knockers from day one, but works hard and gets results. Going down the same path as Jobe.
Port Adelaide: Hamish Hartlett - A bit like Grimes only I rate him higher. Is great to watch when his hamstrings allow it.
Richmond: Trent Cotchin - Absolute gun. Does all the hard work yet has a heap of polish. Will take Ablett's mantle as favourite non Bomber to watch carve teams up.
St Kilda: Lenny Hayes - Mr Football. The most likeable guy in the game but also a star.
Sydney: Jarrad McVeigh - A better, balder and more disciplined version of his older brother.
West Coast: Mark LeCras - Even though I watched him embarrass my team to the tune of 12 goals, he's still a joy to watch. Yt was still a damn shame when he did his knee this year.
Western Bulldogs: Bob Murphy - Feel he's under rated, plays great at both ends. Enjoy his work in the media, both print and TV.

Adelaide: Daniel Talia - Quality backman. Still disappointed we didn't take him in 2009.
Brisbane: Tom Rockliff - Dream Team gold, actual footy platinum.
Carlton: Marc Murphy - So much ability. In line for a career year in 2013.
Collingwood: Luke Ball - A footballer's footballer. How could you not love him?
Essendon: Jobe Watson - To emerge from all the pressure and expectation of his name and the constant knocks on his pace and disposal to win a Brownlow was fabulous.
Fremantle: Nathan Fyfe - Just a joy to watch.
Geelong: Tom Hawkins - When he's on he's absolutely destructive. If he believes in himself and achieves consistency he'll be mindblowing.
Gold Coast: Gary Ablett - Even moreso than Watson, struggled in the shadow of his father's legacy for a few years and has been a human highlight reel for the better part of a decade now. One of the GOAT's.
Greater Western Sydney: Chad Cornes - Still can't go past some serious love for Chad. For the 18 month period from 2007 to when he mangled his hand in 2008 he was the prototype footballer, elite in just about every facet of the game.
Hawthorn: Lance Franklin - Daicos, Goodes and Carey rolled into one. Enter cliche about ticket prices and relevant value here.
Melbourne: Nathan Jones - If only the Dees had 5 more like him. Just about the only one in the whole organisation who wears pants.
North Melbourne: Andrew Swallow - Magnificent player who deserves a bigger profile than he currently enjoys.
Port Adelaide: Matthew Lobbe - Fast running out of time to make good on his athletic potential, but he's a lovely bloke at least.
Richmond: Troy Chaplin - Always had high hopes for him, seemed to have all the potential in the world as a dominant CHB given his size and talent and always made all the right noises before just petering out. Hopefully he can kick up a gear or two with the change of scenery.
St. Kilda: Nick Dal Santo - Smooth mover with the silkiest of skills who is unfairly maligned given his tackle count (no pun intended, honest).
Sydney: Mitch Morton - Really respect the way he pulled his finger out and earned a premiership medallion for it. Untapped talent to burn.
West Coast: Dean Cox - The second coming of Jim Stynes. A freakshow of a ruckman for so long.
Western Bulldogs: Nick Lower - One of my favourites for a long time. Vastly underrated. Tall, hard, nice hands, booming left foot. In a parallel universe never left Alberton and has 150 games under his belt.

Port Adelaide: Ben Jacobs
:p

Adelaide - Talia (One of the best backmen prospects in the AFL and soon will become elite!)
Brisbane - Redden (Tackling machine that is just gold for DT purposes!)
Carlton - Menzel (Already a favourite for many I'd assume, as he has some serious talent and will be good for the Blues!)
Collingwood - Beams (Goal kicking mid that made my DT better! One of many bright young guns in the league!)
Essendon - Watson (Brownlow for one of the young Captains of the league and to move out of his dad's shadows... Probably be better than his old man when it's all said and done!)
Fremantle - Pavlich (If only he was drafted instead of McGregor... Alas, a champion of the game!)
Geelong - Bartel (Underrated as he had the likes of Ablett, Selwood etc stealing the limelight... But the man is awesome!)
Gold Coast - Harley Bennell (Silky skilled mid/fwd and is just the creme de la creme for the Suns!)
Greater Western Sydney - Patton (Will be a star, in the Jono Brown/Hawkins mould!)
Hawthorn - Roughead (Versatility and a sideshow to the Budwood show, this guy has very good skills that would be vital to any other team!)
Melbourne - Jamar (Big men don't grow on trees, and Jamar is a ruckman's ruckman... Just brute strength and deft ruck work!)
North Melbourne - Swallow (Hard working inside mid that is ready to move up into the elite status of the AFL!)
Port Adelaide - Schultz (A traditional forward who is a beautiful set shot, reliable mark and good defensive ability in the forward line to keep the ball in!)
Richmond - Maric (Was good for Adelaide, became great for the Tigers! His ruckwork and around the ground ability is now second to none!)
St. Kilda - Hayes (Universally loved, and is a footballer's footballer in terms of hard edgedness, solid footy nous and all-around skill!)
Sydney - Kieran Jack (An absolute brute of a midfielder, who just keeps on improving and becoming even more dangerous! Vastly underrated!)
West Coast - Gaff (Kid reminds me of Pendles, in that his reliable outside game, spread and that trusty left boot is always admired! He'll win a Brownlow one day in my opinion!)
Western Bulldogs - Dahlhaus (Colt hero that is just makes something out of nothing... No doubt his role will see him move to the midfield for short spurts and then, he'll be even more dangerous!)

Hmm...
Adelaide: Tex (Goalkicking mullet ... what more can I say)
Brisbane: Karnezis (Champ and username)
Carlton: Murphy (Admire his play and should be Blues 2013 Capt.)
Collingwood: Ben Hudson (Great sledger and clubman believe it or not)
Essendon: Ryder (Versatile and enjoy watching him play)
Fremantle: Clancee Pearce (Cousin of an old friend and racks up the stats)
Geelong: Menzel (Excitement machine)
Gold Coast: Ablett (Just a legend)
GWS: o'hAilpin (Personal favourite, goal celebrations are top notch)
Hawthorn: Franklin (See Ablett, love watching him play)
Melbourne: Jamar (comes to mind as an impressive ruckman)
North Melbourne: Daw (bit of a cult hero, hope he debuts soon)
Port: Schulz (Admire how he has come from Richmond to be a decent player :p)
Richmond: Ivan Maric (Mullet and impressive ruckman)
St Kilda: Montagna (In and under good to watch)
West Coast: Scott Selwood (Tough player, hard choice here though)
Bulldogs: Dahlhaus (Love the hair and the way he goes about it)

Interestingly ...
Forwards: 7
Midfielders: 5
Defenders: 0
Ruckmen: 5

Defenders don't get much love do they.
