And that is why I believe those 'things' need to be exterminated and destroyed without any recognition that they existed.

I can't think of a crime worse than child sex abuse.

💯
This 'thing' might not be a murderer but he definitely kills & destroys hopes, dreams & lives. His victims & children he came into contact with, their families, friends, police and their families & friends, doctors, nurses, health care workers and their families & friends and on and on it goes. Hundreds, thousands perhaps tens of thousands of people that can be for a lifetime be inflicted by one 'animals' depravity.

yep its very often child abuse lives on with the victim forever, and their families.

i imagine a lot of the victims likely didn't even remember it occurring, but now having found out they will likely be traumatised, as well as the parents who trusted the person.

Child abusers pray on the most innocent of things. Kids. Truly disgusting.

No flags were raised on the Blue Card System.

Ms D'Ath was also grilled by the opposition about why only a third of recommendations had been implemented from the 2017 report Keeping Queensland's Children More Than Safe: Review of the Blue Card System.

It was commissioned after the death of 12-year-old schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer who was murdered by her foster father Rick Thorburn in October 2015.

A new law's been passed where the cops can take over people's online identities, dark web stuff, facebook, insta etc which has probably happened here, to name the person might blow their undercover operation.

They're probably still also trying to identify every child they've found in his images and investigate their circumstances.

His dark Web associates are unlikely to know his name and police are confident all children he abused in Asustralia have been identified. Besides, it would be easier for parents of potential victims to raise concerns if they knew his name. His name is likely being suppressed to protect victims (hopefully) or him (hope not).

Agree they are unlikely to know his real name but some of them probably will as we've seen before, and it only takes one in the network to blow it.

The cops have done it a few times like this, sometimes coming under fire when they've arrested a figure in the world of dark web child pornographers and sex traffickers by seamlessly taking over their accounts without their networks twigging and sitting in the job for too long while business continues.

To get an idea of how it works.

Any associate who knows him at all well would be able to ID him from his charges - they wouldn't need his name. That's why it was a year from arrest until this came out.

I thought the suggestion was that he'd been in custody since August last year and that those charges with his name was under suppression? That with these latest charges after an investigation, his name will stay suppressed.

The way I read it, they've found him on that site, got enough to charge him and lock him up, then spent the next year building a monumental case against him. They've published his job and locations of offences, his name isn't going to give the game away to his co-offenders (who hopefully are well on the way to being arrested).

With a name it wouldn't be long before someone finds a picture, which might give it away if there's still ongoing investigations but I don't know for sure. This just seems to be a bit unusual when we've seen people arrested who worked in childcare in Australia before for the same crimes and it isn't long before we have names and sometimes even footage of their arrest.

Could it be because some of the alleged crimes occurred in Qld? Don't they have legislation suppressing sex offender ID?

I wonder if this is related?

Some truly dedicated and admirable people hunting the most despicable and repugnant people.
A great podcast on what sadly continues to be an ongoing scourge on humanity.

Unbelievable, that’s a lot of lives he’s ruined, perfect candidate for half a death penalty.

devil's advocate moment.....I wonder if there's a real question to be asked if it's actually worthwhile telling the alleged victims?

Whilst obviously they are entitled to know what happened if all this pans out to be valid, is it actually doing more harm than good? Imagine living your life happily at 18 and then being told this.

I’m sure the parents know, that’s got to haunt them forever. At some stage the kids will know/find out.

morally/ethically they have to be told eventually you'd think.

i just think in some cases its better to be oblivious.

That's a good question. I wouldn't want to know if I couldn't remember it.

The identity of a childcare worker accused of being one of Australia’s worst sex offenders has been revealed as 45-year-old Ashley Paul Griffith.
The Gold Coast man is accused of raping and abusing 91 girls at various childcare centres in Queensland, New South Wales and overseas locations.

The alleged crimes took place over a 15-year period.

Mr Griffith has been charged with more than 1600 offences including rape, indecent treatment of children and making and possessing child exploitation material, the Courier Mail reports.

It’s a shame taxpayers will pay for this degenerate if he seeks legal aid for his defence. And disgraceful that taxpayers will also foot the bill for his jail time.
