Best day of UFC fight announcements in a long time! Nothing like a bunch of awesome cards announced to detract from the negative press conference ;)
Same with 187's card announcements - so damn tasty, but I'd bet good money on it not making it to the date without incident.

Jones vs Rumble
Weidman vs Belfort
Cerrone vs Nurmagomedov

:drunk:

I ain't getting excited for any cards this far out any more. UFC 184 at one stage looked awesome.

It's smart that McGregor/Aldo is the scheduled main event, rather than Rory/Robbie. I can't remember when or why they decided that the heavier title fight takes precedence, but it seems they've abandoned the pointless rigidity of that rule.

That Alvey KO was sweeeeeett. A right then left hook to follow was on target. Barboza looked off from the start, Not sure if he got rattled early or just couldnt find a way in...Its like he never really got going.

Mir looked healthy and good inside...But, I dont buy into the whole comeback thing. Mir got lucky. Credit due, He did something that Hunt couldnt do

I saw a comparison pic somewhere today from the Hunt fight to this one and the difference was as big as I've seen, much more than Vitor.

Its funny you say that. I just watched the fight and thought something was up. The top half of Silva's arm was the size of his forearm. He has dwindled away to nothing.

That result just goes to show how overrated Arlovksi is. Some people in the MMA community talking him up as being one win away from a title shot. He is a specialist at producing insipid and lacklustre performances like the ones against Schaub, Anthony Johnson and Bigfoot I in Strikeforce - to name a few - and is going to get absolutely murdered by Browne. The guy has not won a good fight in over half a decade, save the Bigfoot win which has now been exposed for being the meaningless win that it really was. Bigfoot is nothing without his TRT exemption and the war he had with Mark Hunt has evidently taken it's toll, as well.

Heavyweights are not designed to be having 25 minutes war with each and landing all those heavy shots on each other. It's a sure-fire way to shorten the career of the fighters by a number of years. Dos Santos is another one who I fear is going to show manifestations of a diminished chin after the three big wars that he's been involved in. They're just too big to be throwing punches with a 115kg of force behind them and be capable of defending them efficiently. They're not lighter guys who throw benign little shots in the later rounds that just sting; they throw heavy shots with every strike, and every shot has the potential to cause serious damage. I find it barbaric watching them fighting on into a state of exhaustion in the later rounds and just eating countless heavy shots.

Anyway... Bigfoot needs to retire now if he's not going to be able to get a TRT exemption. He looked like a cruise ship out there with the way he was moving. His chin is obviously cracked now and he's just going to be masquerading as a human punching bag for the other fighters.
