In 1978 Alan Jackson (Capt-coach) of Korong Vale became the first player to kick 100 goals in a season . 111 + 5 in finals.
The previous best was in 1957 by Graham O'Shea of Newbridge who kicked 87 that year.

So guys in the LVFL can get 100 goals and not our AFL players, that's pretty good it would be interesting to find out how many people in the LVFL have actually kicked 100 or more goals in a season and who they where?

You reckon Peter Collins didnt like a goal. 162!! good seasons in 1980 and 82.

Most blokes would now be double and triple teamed if they could average 9 a game for a season.

Peter Collins wasn't a tall or big bloke.............He definitely wasn't the stereotype size for a CHF, but he definitely was able to take a good leaping screamer..........he was hated by all (but Bridgey)....he was just sooo good....but he knew it...

from what all the old bridgy players from the 70's and 80's say, he really should of gone down the VFL! I think during his career, he kicked over 1000 goals.

did Shawn McCormick from mitiamo kick 100 in a season? has anyone mentioned Gadsen from serp, pretty sure he has kicked 100 at least once in the LVFL.
 
Dave Sullivan from Marong kicked 119 and 116 in '93 and '94 (including finals).

With 5 games to go in '93 he needed 60 to get to the ton. He needed to kick 10 in the final round and ended the day with 16.

many may disagree with this comment, but i think that nick manly will give the 100 goals a shake this yr playin with calivil, usually the midfielders kicking goals for calivil, we'll see how a key forward will go.:thumbsu:

He has more chance of 100 pies than 100 goals.:)

Seriously though the Calivil midfielders etc will kick the goals themselves.

I heard he may pull the pin after this year or have a final crack next year, anybody heard this?

I realise its an old thread, but is Collins the bloke who had hundreds of hundreds playing cricket, that was still playing for Bridgewater in ~02?

Does Manley have photos of you f@cking a sheep or something? Brian Walsh has more chance of kicking 100 for Kyneton this year. Will be lucky to get to 50!
