I thought this year was going to be his year.

Meh. Was one of the most pointless exercises Freo went through, he was never going to do anything for us

Did Fremantle trade anything for him?

Body has totally failed him.

A pick in the 50's or something, worth the risk given our dearth of Key bigs. Very sad to see him go, from all reports he is a good young man.

2015 will be the first time since 2006 we have started a season without an Essendon player on the list, unless they wanna throw us Joe Daniher?

Sorry - he's getting traded to Adelaide for McKernan and Petrenko :D

Heartbreaking for the poor guy. Worked really hard in the preseason and would've had a chance to crack a few games if it clicked - but it was not to be. A real shame his body wasn't made to stand up to the rigors of the game.

If you picked up a player with pick 50 it would have also been pointless

To be fair, Lachie Neale came to us at pick 70-odd from memory.

But worth a punt for us, Pav desperately needed help and we needed to give our young talls time to become AFL ready. If it had worked out, Gumby would have bought us at least another year of development in Taberner and Apeness.

Fyfe for Ricky Dyson + a second rounder?

Seriously though, it's a shame he was so riddled with injury. Couldn't question his raw talent or desire. Ripping bloke when I met him, too.

Would you like Leroy Jetta. Give us a bag of chips and you have a deal
