Sir Doug Nicholls Round

The AFL’s annual round recognising and celebrating indigenous players and culture was re-named in 2016 in honour of Sir Doug Nicholls and will be celebrated across rounds 10 and 11 this year. The GIANTS will unveil their 2024 Indigenous jumper against the Bulldogs, called Maaluga Ngarriylanha - which means ‘sitting as one’ - designed by proud Gomeroi man Kayleb Waters. The jumper tells a story of unity and the leadership the GIANTS take in reconciliation and moving forward as one.

Milestone - Jesse Hogan 150

GIANTS forward Jesse Hogan is set to play his 150th AFL game on Saturday against the Bulldogs. Originally drafted by Melbourne in 2012, Hogan played for the Demons and then Dockers across eight seasons, kicking 170 goals over 90 games before a move to the GIANTS ahead of the 2021 season. He has played 59 matches and kicked 130 goals so far, including 26 goals this season to currently sit second in the Coleman Medal.

The Giants have been off their game for the last four weeks because they have spent all their time preparing for this one. A genuine rivalry. A more pertinent question than who will win, is who will be suspended? (other than Toby)

More interested in the way Toby gets suspended this time. He's tried kicking faces, punching dwarves and eye gouging against us so far.

What's next? Maybe a squirrel grip?

The game last year GWS came back to win after they decided to end Josh Bruce's career, leaving us two defenders short. Hopefully it's a bit cleaner this time around. But knowing Dogs-GWS games..

Dogs always lose the week after a 50+ point win. I think its 6 straight losses now? Giants to win by a few and continue the up and down season of the Dogs. Also the more injuries the Giants have, the more likely the Dogs will find a way to lose.

In fact, put your reserves team out there. the Dogs couldn't beat a Hawks and Dockers teams missing their forward lines.

Maybe he could ram his shoulder into someone throat and fracture their eosophagus (but based on past precedent he should get off).
Oh you mean have somebody from your mob stand still, and hope a dogs player is dumb enough with no self awareness to bump into a stationary player :tearsofjoy:

High & late yet no free.

Who did it again? Ah yes the most protected payer in the comp Bont.

What was the response from GWS? He got to do the toss next time we played 😳 Who thought of that garbage? 🤣🤣🤣

Remember when your players said they'd prefer to play in flags than chase money after Tom Boyd left? What happened? 🤡🤡🤡

Taylor Duryea - 200 games

If he plays the majority of the rest of the year, he will break the record for most AFL games without a single brownlow vote. Current list is:

Nick Smith - 211 games
Tom Lonergan - 209
Ben Stratton - 202
Jordan Roughead - 201
Taylor Duryea - 199*

Rylee West, come on down.

Handy list. Dogs could use a few players like these.
