Game over.

We had enough of it, bit we coughed it up so often, with unforced errors and just plain dumb footy at times.

Won the contested footy.
Won the clearances.
Amazingly had more contested marks.

Won the clangers.

At least we fought it out, and made a game of it late.

Not as bad a result as I thought it was going to be earlier in the day.

Disappointing game in the end but it was stacked against us with a short turn around and missing some important players.

Keep in mind we were probably a Sicily and Burgoyne away from winning this game, or at least being very very close.

Also get ****ed Rance.

Too many players challenging to be in our bottom six rather than challenging their opponent. Disappointing.

Scoreboard flattered us. Felt like a 8 goal loss. Richmond superior across the ground.

Hopefully we learn from the performance.

Will be interesting to see if they can sneak Mitchell a brownlow vote for 42 possessions and a goal.

We were out ranched out coachined out martined Intercept marking killed us today. where as we gave away too many easy goals. Good fightback at the end although the game was lost much earlier.

Didn’t think we would be that sloppy - but it’s all good.

Need Sicily back.

Mitchell is actually amazing.
Omeara gets a little bit better each game.
Didn’t think Martin had much impact.
Thought McEvoy got negated out of it a bit
Roughy mostly awesome - except a couple of shocking kicks at goal.

Despite the negatives of the game and the flow of melts, plenty of upside and positives to be had. Missing Birch a lot.

Don't underestimate the importance of percentage. That late game fight could come in handy (turned a potential 8-10 goal loss into a 2 goal loss), given we may well be fighting it out for a spot in the 8 at season end.

Goldstein had a broken jaw from memory. Was dirty but be lucky to get a week imo.

Rance might be the best defender in the league by a mile and won the game today by himself but he's a massive weak dog, flips and flops from the slightest touch and regularly whacks an unsuspecting player.

Game was exactly a replica of last years game against them, bar the last quarter.

Thought we were heading for a 8 goal thumping. Onto next week!

Just the fact that we were so passive and didn't take the game on from a top level point of view is saddening. Throwing all these players back in a panic is fine for 1 quarter, wtf were we doing in the 3rd. Why were we so safe when you need to take the game on against Richmond, when have they ever panicked by a packed backline against us? Why was O'Brien who never beats anyone and rarely halves it 1 on 1 let alone any other situation our only key target when Roughead was off the ground and not McEvoy.


Roughead, Mitchell and O'Meara were good. I still really like Impey.
