As LF said, Russia v Lebanon still to come, Russia got beat this weekend by Ireland so they have no chance.

Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Samoa, Lebanon and the USA are all in the running still for the last 3 places.

Saturday, October 28: Pool A - Russia v Lebanon (Nara Stadium, Narofominsk, 3pm).

Friday, November 2: Pool A - Lebanon v Ireland (Dewsbury, 7.30pm).

Sunday November 4: Pool B - Scotland v Wales (Glasgow Hawks RFC, 2pm).

Friday, November 9: Repechage semi-finals - USA v Samoa; Pool 1 runner-up v Pool 2 runner-up (Halton Stadium, Widnes, 5.45pm and 8pm).

Wednesday, November: Repechage final (Featherstone, 7.30pm).

I'll have a look a few days after these games have been played to see if anyone uploads them onto a Torrens, if I can get any of the games, I'll let you guys know, we'll work out how to let you get them, I have a program that lets me send big emails, anything up to 1 gig, all I'd have to do it cut it in half at the half time break and send 2 downloads.

I should be able to get the French games next month and I hope I can get the USA games since they will be on sky sports, all we need is for a pom to upload them.

Match Summary
Great Britain have taken a 1-0 lead in the three-test series against New Zealand with a hard fought 20-14 victory over a gallant Kiwi team in Huddersfield this morning.

The Kiwis opened the scoring with a try to Shontayne Hape inside the first five minutes, and managed to hold on to their lead until Maurie Fa’asavalu celebrated his first Test cap with a barge-over try with ten minutes of the first half left to play. A penalty kick then extended the lead for the home team, but Fa’asavalu turned from hero to villain with a fumble leading directly to a try for Paul Whatuira and a halftime lead for the visitors.

Great Britain came out of the sheds for the second half breathing fire, and had three try-scoring chances within the first ten minutes. The first was denied after an inspirational chase from Kiwi captain Roy Asotasi stopped Paul Wellens from crossing, and the second didn’t survive the scrutiny of the video referee, but it was a case of third time lucky as Gareth Raynor embarrassed Sam Perrett to claim a try (and the lead) with a magnificent chase and a lucky bounce to score as Perrett waited for the ball to bounce dead.

Perrett’s error seemed to push the Kiwis back into their shells, and their attacking game never really recovered. A try to Great Britain’s rookie forward Sam Burgess opened up a 10-point lead to the home side, and New Zealand left their run too late as they looked to claw their way back. Shontayne Hape scored a consolation try with four minutes left on the clock, and despite some desperate last-minute attack they weren’t able to force a drawn result – even though each side finished with three tries.

New Zealand were led superbly by Roy Asotasi, who powered through a mountain of work and provided plenty of offloads to get his team going forward. Thomas Leuluai, Sam Perrett and Greg Eastwood were the other Kiwis to impress, but right across the board they looked much stronger than the team that was humiliated by Australia a couple of weeks ago. On the downside, injuries to winger Tame Tupou and replacement forward Epalahame Lauaki could force a reshuffle for next weekends game.

Great Britain’s strength lay with a dominant forward pack and plenty of attacking spark from halfback Rob Burrow. He was well backed up by Leon Pryce, Gareth Raynor and James Roby, while Sam Burgess (despite ending up on report) showed that he is a real star of the future with a dominant performance. His individual battles with Fuifui Moimoi were a highlight of the match.

6 min: Great Britain force a second consecutive goal line drop-out and are showing they're keen to throw the ball around.

8 min: Gareth Ellis is caught in possession on the last tackle as the Kiwis defence holds on.

10 min: Keith Senior leaves Shontayne Hape grasping at thin air, but is pulled down by Thomas Leuluai. On the next play Sam Burgess steams onto a short pass and looks to crash over the tryline but drops the ball in the tackle.

14 min: An attacking bomb from Thomas Leuluai is well claimed by Ade Gardner. Sam Perrett has started very well for the Kiwis tonight, making a few damaging runs from the back.

18 min: Another knock-on spoils Great Britain's chances as they were looking dangerous on attack close to the Kiwis line.

20 min: Maurie Fa'asavalu makes his first run in Great Britain colours - dragging the Kiwis ten metres upfield, and then earning his team a penalty.

21 min: NO TRY - James Roby grubbers ahead and regathers after a Kiwi hand knocked the ball backwards, but then fumbles the ball as he's trying to score the try.

24: Great Britain suddenly lose the plot, with bad dummy-half passes and nearly getting caught in possession on the last tackle. A penalty to the Kiwis gives them a good attacking chance inside Great Britain territory.

26 min: Rob Burrow comes up with possession from a Thomas Leuluai grubber kick and races 40 metres upfield. The Kiwis scramble well in defence, but then concede a penalty.

Sustained pressure from the home team sees Maurie Fa'asavalu take a short pass and barge through a handful of Kiwi defenders to score. Rob Burrow converts.

The main difference at the break is that New Zealand are making the most of their chances while Great Britain are looking a bit rusty. The Kiwis are making good ground with their kicking game, but their marker defence will need to improve in the second forty.

The second half is underway! Tame Tupou will not be back tonight, and is replaced by Greg Eastwood.

43 min: Great Britain are looking dangerous as they throw the ball around, but a strong tackle from Greg Eastwood forces an error.

44 min: Paul Wellens fumbles an attacking bomb backwards - the Kiwis will receive the ball back from a goal line drop-out.

46 min: Sam Perrett knocks on after a good tackle from Gareth Raynor out wide.

47 min: Leon Pryce splits the Kiwi defence and links up with Paul Wellens, but Roy Asotasi (!) chases and pulls him down one metre away from the tryline.
