Deal was stitched up 18 months in advance, thanks Triggy.Betts walked (not sure how many times we have to go through this?)
Laidler asked to leave (sure, he seemed to be in Mick's bad books and wasn't getting a game, but he didn't have to leave - within his rights to go somewhere where he could get a game, but he also could've stuck it out and see what happened)
And it certainly counteracts the claims that our players don't get along with each other and head their seperate ways after training and games. Theyve all gone to Sydney together, spent saturday evening together, and then spent sunday at the VFL in box hill in terrible weather conditions. It's probably even less of an issue considering how many of them turned up at the VFL the next day--certainly more than I've ever seen at a reserves game before, and none of them looked worse for wear (Doc even put his best trackies on for the occasion )
Like Magruder said, there was a baby there. It's not like they were at Revolver.
We said we changed the party boy culture of the club when we off loaded Fev to Brisbane, but I don't see it yet, we had to get rid of Robbo (and by association Jeffy) because they enjoyed the party life a little too much.
Murphs girlfriendGibbs?
That would make sense, considering i saw White and Everitt using Ed Curnows tab. Definately thought about using it at once stage haha
Murphs girlfriend
You aren't rebuilding when you forfeit a first round draft pick for Dale Thomas.
Mick had almost two and a half seasons and failed dismally by every possible measurement.
Can you please list the other stuff you aren't interested in reading for other posters' future reference? Now that Mick is gone, Daisy has become the resident whipping boy/scapegoat for the malcontents who always feel the need to individualize all of the collective problems at the footy club on one individual.
I am not interested hearing gossip about players out at an inner city nightspot on Saturday night, in fact we've the season, they should be banned from weekend night outs for rest of the season. Its a bit insulting to us fans that the night after another 10 goal loss, the players don't seem overly concerned and happy to have a few shandies the night after (like we haven't had problems with players on the sauce before?)
The playing group collectively having been self-indulgent and unwilling to take responsibility for their own woeful form for several years now, that culture has to change.
Compo for Eddie.Which first round pick did we give up for Daisy ?????
Honestly DVB, a couple of quiet jars and a meal with teammates?
How rowdy could it have been if there's an infant there.
We complain the team doesn't seem bonded, yet if they spend time in a social setting that's a bad thing?
Don't see the issue.
Over the top and back again DVB. It was not gossip at all, it was the type of little snippet that many of us like to read. Buckley is a good bloke, Daisy loves his baby and the players enjoy each others company enough to spend a bit of time socialising together. All good. Now that Mick is gone, Daisy has become the resident whipping boy/scapegoat for the malcontents who always feel the need to individualize all of the collective problems at the footy club on one individual.

You are a worthy poster but have a habit of hopping on your high horse and berating people for no good reason.
I just don't think its a good idea for a fan to chat to a player about a coach being sacked, only days after he lost job, it put Dyl Bucks in a very awkward position. Unfair to both MM & Dylan
Without going back and reading the post again, I'm pretty sure all he said was that he agreed that he didn't think Mick's game plan suited the players. That's what I got out of it. Nothing negative said about him that I recall. I've also seen another story where Army and somebody else were asked about Mick and said that he cares about them as people, not just footballers. Then there was Cachia's tweet about Mick not deserving the treatment he got, even though he gave him the chop. I think it's pretty clear that the players liked and respected Mick, but his game plan just didn't suit the cattle he had. It was a chance worth taking, in my opinion, but for some reason it just didn't work out.I have to admit that i didn't like hearing the anecdote of a poster talking to Dylan Buckley on Saturday night MM and making it sound like Buckley agreed with him of his dislike of Malthouse. I hope i didn't berate the poster personally, i just don't enjoy reading stories like that, it make an dangerous assumption that Buckley or any other player didn't like Mick, those kind of conversations have been distorted/twisted before.

I do apologize if i came across as too antagonistic, wasn't my intention and i accept your criticisms.
My compassion/empathy for Mick may be clouding my judgement

2. I spoke to him about whether Micks game plan suited Carlton or not.
Going at someones throat for posting is not on, this is a forum, if everyone is going to get berated for what they post, no one will!
