I hope the club does something in the hall of fame to retell Gary’s story of devotion to this club.

His efforts in supporting this club is legendary!

Condolences to Gary and his family. As a resident of Port Fairy, 50 mins down the highway but still a 3 and a half hour drive from the big smoke, I salute you . Mad bastard.

The Western Bulldogs are mourning one of its most iconic supporters, Garry Hincks, who passed away today at the age of 76.

Great that the club included him in ceremony of the unfurling of the 2016 flag.

I remember he got the biggest roar from the crowd in his 1000th game.

Bulldog royalty.

Players come and go but its these people that make a club. I'm glad he saw the flag and was part of the ceremony n 2017.

He lived his life following his passion.

Ran into Gary in Perth a couple of years back. He was waiting outside Wesley church for a classical concert. I said hello, long-time Bulldogs member etc, but as much as I tried to chat about all things Dog he was more interested in the quartet, one of whom (pretty sure it was the clarinet player) may have been related? Anyway, we talked music that day, not football. He was a sweet soul to be around, and I told him how his support for the club was legendary. Condolences to family and friends.

I recall Garry being asked/interviewed after a Dogs’ exhibition match in London why he attended the match. He gave a matter of fact answer stating he attended all Dogs’ matches. Legend! RIP Garry.

Gary once slept in before a Dogs game and it was too late to get a train. So he jumped in a taxi to go from Portland to Melbourne. The meter got up to $300 before the taxi driver showed Gary some mercy and stopped it. I sure hope the dogs won for him that day.

They should reserve a seat at all games going forward. And another idea would be to commission a statue at Whitten Oval ala Yabba at the SCG. Can have Gary sitting in the stands at all times.

This has to happen. When the new grandstand gets done for sure. I'd be happy to chip in for it. Or even perhaps call a part of the new grandstand the "Garry Hincks Grandstand". The Yabba statue is a good idea though.

Not sure if it's good or bad taste, but I caught some of Garry's funeral today. Screenshot a photo of his coffin, no surprises it had a Bulldogs theme. If it's bad taste, I'm happy to delete.
