Correct me I am wrong, and maybe it was done off camera... But I was a bit surprised no players asked Woosher a question/s when asked.
Yeah i thought that was odd too, hence the suit having to break the silence.
It kinda reminds me of school, no one wants to ask a stupid question, or stand out from the crowd.

I was expecting Jobe to ask what skill set he can bring or what his weaknesses are, at least turn it on a little for the camera.

I'd imagine once the camera was switched off they had the real meeting.

"Alright guys, this club is ****ed. Has been for a while. No more ******* around and getting your dicks kissed it's time to become footballers and if you're not with me you can * off with the Jakes"

that made me laugh.. its like any work meeting, school assembly, local footy meeting... "any questions?" everyone looks at the ground.

Yep, happens at my work place all the time. Have our quarterly staff meeting with about 50+ employees, all of them are mainly over the age of 40 and when the questions part comes up all of them drop their heads and don't make eye contact with our CEO haha.

absolutely concur, it was like any number of work meetings you are called to including the phones on the table, the wind-baggery of Xavier and the players trying hard to look serious and interested. The only difference is that at my work there would have been one or two tools jumping over each other to ask a question in an effort to appear intelligent and impress the new boss - maybe the fact that is was televised inhibited that.

And the questions are inevitably A: Something that's already been answered or B: Something that cannot be answered

Is the suit talking on the latest video Xavier Campbell, or whatever his name is? Whoever it is drives me instantly nuts. ******* loves the sound of his own voice. The type of guy who is going to suck up your life in making 30 minute meetings into two hour long sessions.

There was also a moment where Xavier said something like we did whatever we needed to do to find the right coach, and "we make no apologies for that".

Yet wasn't it him who specifically apologised to Fagan and the Crows for not informing them about the club delegation that went to see Worsfold?

(I also found it a bit odd and try-hard that he was already referring to Worsfold multiple times in a day one meeting at the club as "Woosh".)

That reminds me of my favourite from the presser yesterday;

"How confident are you of winning a premiership at this club?"

Seems that way. Bloody hope so. It's so clear he is the right man to captain. Hepp ain't his left nut as a leader yet. A happy, fit and motivated Jobe will make a huge difference.
If it comes with that light and quick Myers we saw in his only proper quarter for the season, and Hocking doing his best impersonator of a bull like he did against Collingwood and we add some midfield depth in Couglan we're actually looking good in the middle next year.

If Jobe is firing he demands their tagger and will still have an impact. That means Myers and Heppell probably won't be tagged and can rack it up. If Hocking does a good job on their top mid then we're going well in there. We can afford to play Goddard forward of the ball as high half forward where he can use his work rate, marking, reading of the play and disposal to be very damaging.

That fit and slim Myers we saw adds to the outside. Couglan showed in VFL that he can extract and spread well, which is a massive upgrade on Howlett, who is either a defensive forward and Shuey/Murphy tagging specialist or out. That means Stanton is well down the pecking order to tag and should be able to get a fair bit of it. Colyer, Zaka, Zerret and the other young guys coming through add a lot of run to the midfield.

That knock on effect is massive. As part of our push for more scoring Jobe resting forward will be great, Goddard's leadership, Daniher after another season in the gym and hopefully McKernan is played as a forward who gives ruckman a chop out.

We can rebound fairly quickly if we're finally awarded some injury luck. There will also likely be 4 picks in the top 30 added to the list.

While I'm very much wait and see regards what sort of match day coaching Worsfold will unveil I'm expecting a fit and strong team, reinvigorated from a change in atmosphere at the club with WADA behind us and with a point to prove.

On top of that we will have a soft draw, unless all if the bottom 6 improve out of sight, and this could see us build enough momentum to sneak into the finals. Who knows with a bit of luck we will be gifted a victory by having Richmond as the opponent in week 1!!!
