Harvey gets a reprimand for punching a bloke in the face and Trengove gets the same treatent for slipping over..even the commentators said nothing in it. Surely there needs to be a review for this garbage system.

Was the Trengove incident the one on outer boundary line where the North play lost the ball and turned back, leaving Trengove with no other option ?
If so he's bloody stiff.

Harvey got a week, but the system rewards good behaviour, hence the reprimand.
. I have no problem with that.

That's crap, if you punch a bloke in the face that is defenceless lying on the ground you should get at least a week, good record or not.

That's why this points system with discounts for good records and extra loading for bad records doesn't work.

Steven Baker didn't do anything much worse to Stevie J than what Harvey did yet he got 9 weeks suspension and Harvey gets nothing, all because one guy has a good record and one doesn't. That doesn't make sense.

The whole MRP system needs an overhaul.

You obviously have no idea how the court system works

How does it work? I always thought if you do the crime you do the time, you don't get off for murder just because you have a good record with no previous crimes.

Harvey intentionally punched an opposition player in the face with a fair amount of force and should have got at least a week regardless of what his record is like.

It's just another in a long line of farcical decisions handed out by the MRP.

Clearly deemed he should've levitated over the guy.

I liked this bit of justification on the Jetta stage (he did it, unlucky to be the first pinged, but he did it):
MRP said:
In his weekly spot on AFL.com.au exclusive The Verict, Fraser said Jetta's action could have started a malee (sic) and was therefore worthy of a charge.
Seriously? Could have started a melee... but didn't. So could any number of totally incidental, non-reportable bumps/hits/tackles.
Terrible justification - there's a pretty clear rule against staging which Jetta infringed... they've no need to invent shit like that.

Trengove was lucky to get a reprimand - he didn't need to go to ground at all and went in knees first past the ball. I'm happy with the decision and hope he stamps it out of his game.

The Harvey one is bewildering. Punches a 4th gamer in the face (what a tough guy!) and doesn't get suspended. Wow.
