Good effort.

No Ash Smith?

If Walters falls to 36, I'll...do something extreme. Expect him gone by 20 IMO.

Reckon Ian Richardson might get a gig too.

how come if your name is ziebell, and you support richmond, would you have us passing him on at pick 8???

Sorry to pick you apart but from a Melbourne point of view:
Pick 1 is fine.
At 17 the smart thing to do would be to pick up Steven Hill/Tom Swift/David Zaharakis, as WCE are almost certain not to take a KPP at 18, thus leaving Cornelius for 19.
At 19 you have given us Rockliff, he does not fill a need at Melbourne, and where players are rated equal they will go best available. Melbourne already has players such as Sylvia, Maric, Wona and Davey playing very similar roles to what would be expected of Rockliff.
At 35 there is nothing wrong with Sheehan, as we need a decent BP player, however would probably prefer any one of Walters/Cahill/O'keefe/Sloane/Ash Smith over him.
Seeing as we have not drafted a ruck yet, and at 51 there are a few decent options available, Melbourne would draft one here, as after KPP ruck is probably our next biggest weakness, Redden/Browne would be good here.

Also you have Jake Walsh twice, and I was wondering why you've left out Liam Jones/Chris Hall/Rory Sloane/Ash Smith?

Good effort. Surprised to see Swift and Hill so low after their good draft camps, also surprised that Dayne Beams (only Qlder at draft camp IIRC), Adam Cockie, Ballantyne or Ian Richardson didn't get a gig.

FWIW also, you would think that Freo would easily be drafting into the 5th round, what with all their retirements, trades and delistings.

Good effort. :thumbsu:

Freo won't be passing on the 5th round, harvey has come out and said freo wil be making 8-10 selections

As a few have mentioned, you have missed a couple. Ash Smith will get drafted and more than likely in the second round. I would expect Jayden Post to get drafted as well tall defender who tested well at state screening.

As far as the Bombers go
Hurley - In the mix and a strong choice.
Suban - Not bad , good fit for the second round.
Okeefe - Certainly fits in well third round.
Young - Probably a good get here as he could go earlier.
Western - I am not a huge wrap for him but being 5th round i guess you would be happy enough.

if young hill drops to us at #18 I will do cartwheels down the road! :thumbsu: :D

...refer to Brad Ebert situation in '07 ;)

Good effort. :thumbsu:

As has been mentioned Fremantle will definately make a selection in the 5th round, probably in the 6th round and possibly in the 7th round depending on what happens next week with Warnock and Carr.

How many picks are people expecting this draft to go? Think last years went about 70 picks?

youve picked 3 ruckman for the swans, unlikely to happen considering we have jolley and currie we will probably pick up 1 but defs not 3 roos does draft for what swans need he drafts on talent that is available for the designated pick

im sure there is an obvious explanation but can some please clear up for me how cousins can go in the ND and not get picked up til the last round. could another team not take him with a third or dare i say even second rounder?
