Very bad news, I had played all the way to the All Star Break and once I advanced past the All Star Weekend all my previous box scores are glitched and will not show the stats from the games...

I'll see if there's any way to fix it but it's not looking good may just have to Give the results. So disappointing because there were some good games in the mix. :(
Goddamn it :(

'The Forgotten Games'
(All stats are from memory may be slightly off)

NO: 97
DET: 88
Fairly straight-forward game, had a double digit lead early held that nearly all game. Detroit tried to rally late but we had all the answers, Granger had 20, the Brow was impressive and I was finally hitting shots with Eric Gordon.

NO: 109
TOR: 92
A beatdown plain and simple. It was Gordon's turn to score dropping a season high 26 on over 50% from the field. The Raptors just couldn't stop us.

NO: 80
PHI: 83
Very low scoring but despite that we were up 15 with 1 minute to go in the third. MCW gets an and one, they force a turnover and Tony Wroten beats the buzzer with a 3 to cut it to 9 at the end of the third period. It got scrappy from then on and we lost composure in the last few minutes and threw some costly turnovers. Bad loss.

NO: 97
MIA: 85
With LeBron James still out with a torn hamstring the Pelicans took advantage. Wade and Bosh both scored 20+ but got little assistance. Behind Jrue Holiday's 21 points and 8 assists we beat the reigning champs in their own building.

HOU: 87
NO: 107
A big, big blowout win at home against a fellow contender from the Western Conference. Proved we were legit the Brow had his way with former teammate Ryan Anderson posting a huge 20-10 game with 4 blocks.

MEM: 86
NO: 105Another big win over another good team from the West. After racing out to a 17 point lead in the first the Grizzlies just couldn't claw their way back into it. Gordon again playing well with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists.

DAL: 95
NO: 102
We were very, very lucky in this one. Behind a 35-20 last quarter we picked up a massive come from behind victory. Austin Rivers went for 15 in the game, 9 of which was in the last quarter, he also had 3 crucial steals in the final period to help spark the run.

NO: 97
POR: 92
This was an incredible game, backwards and forwards the whole way through with big shots fallinf from both teams. Ultimately the Pelicans escaped with a huge road win after Anthony Davis and Omer Asik both blocked a shot in the last minute to secure the victory.

GS: 95
NO: 104
After suffering our worst loss of the season to the Sixers we have won 6 straight against teams that are all above 500 and 5 of them are bona fide contenders. Despite Curry and Thompson being cold the Warriors still nearly stole this one in New Orleans.

Now that makes us an incredible 17-4 at the All Star Break, Season Stats, All Star festivities recap and more to come soon.

Stats Update
So now that we've reached the All Star Break it's time to take an in depth look at who's hot and who's not so far this season in the NBA. Remember that this is a 29 game season and I only play 10 minute quarters, while the sim quarter length is at 12 minutes still so the stats may be a little obscure.
League Leaders
60ud.png

Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant are again neck and neck for the scoring title with only 0.6 points separating the pair. Dwight Howard again leads the league in rebounding, while Ty Lawson is leading the league in assists with an amazing 10.5 per game. Rookie Sensation is fourth in assists averaging 9.1 while leading the league in steals with 2.7. New Orleans Pelican Center Omer Asik takes out the last two statistical catagories, in blocks and field goal percentage.
New Orleans Pelicans' Season Stats

I accidentally left Jason Smith off this chart but that might just be a sign of something that is going to happen very shortly. The averages are a bit lower than expected but then again I am playing 10 minute quarters.
NBA Standings

If the season ended right now the Defending Champs, the Miami Heat, would not be in the playoffs. Due to LeBron tearing his hamstring in the very first game the Heat have been struggling big time not even managing to be the 8th seed in the weaker Eastern Conference throughout the first half of the season. They will need a big back end of the season but luckily LeBron is back. Other good teams that need to pick it up and fast are the Clippers, Grizzlies, Mavericks, Hawks and Pacers, who all would miss the playoffs if they started right now.
All Star Rosters

Despite not having a single Pelican in the All Star game, New Orleans' head coach Ded Dy was named the coach of the Western Conference team. His stars Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis and Danny Granger all got snubbed.

Rising Stars Challenge: Team Shaq 133 def Team Chuck 115

Trade!

Pelicans Receive: Miles Plumlee
Suns Recieve: Jason Smith

Nothing too major went down in this trade, I just got rid of someone who I couldn't use properly for someone who I think will fill a need for this team in Miles Plumlee. The Pelicans would like to thank Jason for his service and wish him the best of luck going forward with his career.

Thunder give Pelicans reality check

hi-res-185448817-jeremy-lamb-of-the-oklahoma-city-thunder-shoots-the_crop_650.jpg

Jeremy Lamb came up big scoring 25 points in the win for OKC

In their very first match since the All Star Break the New Orleans Pelicans were outworked by the mentally strong Oklahoma City Thunder.

Eric Gordon made 3-3 in the first 5 minutes of the match however after that he was ice cold going 2-9. It was a rough shooting night for nearly all of the Pelicans, who lost in this sloppy encounter with the Thunder. Miles Plumlee was solid in limited minutes in his debut for the Pelicans.

You know your team is doing well when your best player and MVP contender Kevin Durant only takes 8 shots and you still get a tough road win. Russell Westbrook and Jeremy Lamb combined for 47 points, while Serge Ibaka had a near double double of 10 points, 9 boards in the win.

Pelicans bounce back against hapless Jazz

Jrue+Holiday+New+Orleans+Pelicans+v+Los+Angeles+HV7T8DSptIIl.jpg

Jrue Holiday again did the damage for the Pelicans with 23 points on 9-11 shooting.

After being smacked back down to earth by the Thunder in their previous game, The Pelicans came out to play in this matchup with the Utah Jazz. After racing out to a 10-2 lead the Pelicans never looked like losing.

The potent point guard combo of Jrue Holiday (23p, 8a, 3r, 2s) and Austin Rivers (15p, 3r, 3a) once again showed just how lethal this pairing can be. When Holiday takes a break Rivers comes in and the team lose no production at all. Gordon, Granger, Davis, Aminu and Asik all were solid without being spectacular. A special shoutout needs to be given to Miles Plumlee who went for 6 points and 8 boards in just 14 minutes of play. He showed exactly why Ded Dy went out an got him, bringing a ton of energy off the bench.

For the Jazz it was a game they wont want to remember. Rookie guard Trey Burke scored 16 points... on 17 shots. He also chipped in 7 assists, however if it wasn't for his 10-12 from the free throw line his stats would have been brought up a bit more than they already will in the coming days. Derrick Favors posted 13 points and 9 boards as he battled hard all night.

Nets get romped in the clutch

7816192.jpg

In his first start for the season Austin Rivers went for 15-6-5 in a big Pelicans win.
Ending the third quarter with a narrow 1 point lead the Pelicans and their fans in attendance thought that this one was going to go down to the wire, and you can't blame them for thinking that either. I'm not sure what Ded Dy said in his address just before the final quarter started but whatever it was it worked.

Eric Gordon had twisted his ankle in training two days prior to the match and every single pundit was predicting a loss, someone forgot the inform the Pelicans off this. They romped the Nets to the tune of a 32-17 final quarter in a very anti-climatic finish. 5 Pelicans scored in double figures in a balanced team game highlighted by the play of Jrue Holiday (24 points, 14 assists) and Danny Granger (25 points.)

Deron Williams was at his very best in this one scoring an impressive 25 points on 10-16 shooting. Other than the help he received from the inefficient Joe Johnson (19 points) he got no assistance in the scoring department. Despite this D-Will nearly carried this struggling squad to a win.

Pelicans push to a league best 19-5; easily account for Chicago

Shannon+Brown+San+Antonio+Spurs+v+Phoenix+Qqm1j7H3Gc-l.jpg

Shannon Brown poured in 16 points in 17 minutes off the bench in the win.
The Pelicans improved their record to a league best 19-5, after heading on the road to the United Center and coming out with a convincing win. Both teams put up 69 shots from the field with the Pelicans making a scorching 58% of theirs, while the Bulls shot an abysmal 41% from the field. The shooting woes didn't end there for the Bulls with them going 2/15 from deep good for 13% and only managing to connect on 63% of their free throws.

On the other end of the spectrum was the red hot Pelicans who had Shannon Brown, Danny Granger, Anthony Davis, Miles Plumlee, Jrue Holiday, Darius Miller, Anthony Morrow, Terrence Jones, Al-Farouq Aminu and Omer Asik all convert on 50% or more of their shots from the field. Every Pelican played their part in a great team performance. Coach Ded Dy rested his starters for the majority of the second half easing their workload off for the upcoming playoffs with Danny Granger and Eric Gordon playing a team high 22 minutes.

Derrick Rose had 15 points in only 18 minutes due to foul trouble limiting his time on the court while his gun teammates Loul Deng, Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer combined for an appalling 3-17 from the field for 8 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Derrick Rose will be needing more assistence if he is any chance of getting passed the Heat in the east. Boozer was 0-9 from the field registering a donut in the points column while someone told Tony Snell that he was Steph Curry and he believed them. Jacking up 8 three point attempts with all missing badly. Bad loss for the Bulls in this one, really ugly.

Pelicans reach 20 wins on the season.

Anthony Davis with the huge slam in the big win for the Pellies

These Pelicans just keep winning, they had a big first and last quarter and won this match-up with the Celtics without quite getting out of second gear. The battle of the point guards was a classic with Jrue Holiday and Rajon Rondo going after each other on every possession.

Jrue had the upper hand on his point guard counterpart in this one finishing with an impressive 21 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists, all while chipping in 3 steals, 1 block and forcing Rondo into 5 turnovers. Holiday was aided by Eric Gordon's 17 points and Omer Asik and Danny Grangers combined effort of 29 points on 13-18 shooting from the duo.

Despite losing the ball on 5 occasions Rajon Rondo was plenty productive in this one, the crafty point guard stuffed the stat sheet to the tune of 18 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Avery Bradley battled hard with 18 points while budding big man Jared Sullinger capped off a solid game with a double double of 15 points and 13 boards, it wasn't enough to push the Celtics past the league leading Pelicans though.

Cavs handle wounded Pelicans

10592165-large.jpg

Pelican fans would prefer to see Eric Gordon in his Pelicans uni than street clothes.

Omer Asik and Eric Gordon had both gone down with injuries in the week leading up to the game in two separate incidents at training and that thrust the inexperienced duo of Austin Rivers and Miles Plumlee into the starting lineup for their respect first starts of the season. Both players held their own but the full strength Cavaliers took advantage of an undermanned Pelicans outfit.

It seemed as though this would be an Anthony Davis game early as he scored the first 8 points of the game single-handedly, however two fouls on the next two possessions sent him to the bench, where he would continue to sit for the majority of the night with foul trouble. No other Pelican could lift the team as Jrue Holiday and Danny Granger both struggled.

For the winning team, Kyrie Irving did as Kyrie Irving does while the rest of the starting unit in Dion Waiters, Alonzo Gee, rookie Anthony Bennett and Andrew Bynum all played their part in the win. This win keeps the Cavs in the mix for a playoff berth in this shortened season.
