North "Desperate" to keep Petrie.

The North Melbourne Football Club today has issued a desperate plea to unsettled full forward, and 200+ gamer Drew Petrie to stay at the club as it hunts a premiership in the next couple of years. Golumless stated that is was imperative that we keep him as he is one of the key pillars of any chance of having success that this great club deserves and that with an aging list, losing him could see the window slammed shut.

The community has since rallied around this proposal with a local business taking it to the Billboards to keep Petrie at Arden St.

North are trying to work out who the hell is Barnsey and why he'd spend the money, but it was appreciated.

In sadder news, North today also confirmed that they will be letting go of both Micheal Firrito, and Scott McMahon today should they manage to get a free agency offer in this window, and will be doing that without matching. Both have been loyal servants, but have seen their time in the starting lineup diminish as the year wore on and it's time to move on.

Golumless also denied reports that North put in an offer for Gold Coasts Harley Bennell, as he stated that we were waiting for a medical to happen prior to any offer happening, but Harley was a no show for it today, clearing the way for Fremantle to get their man. Golumless stated that he wasn't the kind of character that will win the club that elusive premiership and we're all better off that it happened like that.

Fremantle Welcome Talia and Jetta to Fremantle

The Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce that Lewis Jetta and Michael Talia, from the Sydney Swans and the Western Bulldogs respectively have joined FFC. Upon the announcement, Chris Bond and Van_Dyke, the two legendary list managers, had this to say.

CB: We are pleased to welcome Lewis and Michael to the club as we feel they offer what the club needs in their respective positions. Lewis is a highly skilled player, which is exactly what the club needs and Michael is a highly talented young key position player, who we feel has been starved of opportunity and will now battle with Alex Silvangi for the tall defender spot, along with potentially Zac Dawson. We would like to thank MilneMagic and his Bulldog management team, along with SSwans2011 and his Sydney team, for being easy to deal with.

VD: While this has resulted in Alex Pearce and Danyle Pearce leaving the club, who will be sorely missed, we have full confidence that these two will deliver. Alex, we felt really improved as the year went on and will no doubt make it at this level, but due to contract disagreements/delays, we felt that we couldn’t risk what Unsociable Hawk may put on the club as a result. Danyle, was a much loved member of the team amongst the playing group, but the coaching staff eventually had enough with some aspects of his game, which Lewis will upgrade on and Michael is a player who we rate highly

Kim Hagdorn: We believed that you were making no moves a side from the Jetta one, yet there has been the Talia deal and the Bennell deal amongst with other moves that might go ahead according to some members of the media. What’s changed

VD: Nothing Kim, you’re just a hack

CB: What he means to say is, your sources told you the wrong info.

Mark Duffield: How do you believe the West Coast fans will react in the derby this year, as Jetta was somewhat outspoken after the game against the Eagles this year at Domain

VD: We think that they’ll hate it, and we love it as a result.

CB: Look, we don’t really care what other clubs fans think, we are concerned about the Fremantle Football Club first and foremost, along with the fans of the club, who will no doubt like that an Eagles antagonist is amongst our players.

MD: Latest on the Bennell deal?

CB: Neither club at this stage is fully satisfied with what the other has to offer, so at this stage, no resolution coming.

Die hard fans on the forum Bigfooty, believe that as a result of these moves the team may look something like the following

Best 22:
FB Spurr Dawson Ibbotson
HB Johnson Talia/Silvangi Sheridan
C Jetta Fyfe Hill
HF Mayne Taberner Crozier
FF Ballantyne Pavlich Walters
F Sandilands Neale Mundy
I/C Barlow Weller Griffin Sutcliffe
Emr Clarke Blakely Grey

The Gold Coast suns will be holding a press conference shortly regarding the signing of former bulldog Jarrad Grant.

The Western Bulldogs are delighted to have signed the services of Danyle Pearce.

At 29, he is entering the twilight of his career however we feel he is about to enter his prime.

His run & carry on the opposite wing to Macrae will delight the WB faithful in seasons to come.

The Western Bulldogs are thrilled to announce the signing of Jack Sinclair & Tom Lee from the St Kilda Football Club.

We'd also like to thank Lin Jong for his services at our great club.

Jack "sinc" Sinclair made his debut in 2015, for a return of 18 games/18 goals.

He is pure silk & I am stoked to have him on board!

Tom Lee will provide valuable depth at both ends of the ground.

A Chalie Requests A Trade Out

Gold Coast's Charlie Dixon wants out of The Gold Coast & hopes to make his way to Alberton (Port Adelaide). Gold Coast will try & get him there, if not they may shop him around with a club very much interested.
Media Outlets tried to ask Charlie questions as he left Gold Coast HQ, but left us with this 'lovely weather out here'.

Luey would be loony not to sign for Sydney
Today the Sydney Swans made their interest in Matthew Leuenberger public, showing positive signs in regards to the club's chances of luring the big man. Recruiting and List Strategy Manager Kinnear Beatson confidently stated the ruckman would be 'a massive coup for the club', and the 'deserved signing after the AFL's uncalled for action throughout the last two trade periods'. It is understood that the Swans are willing to use the AFL's updated ruling to its fullest extent, offering Leuenberger $450 000 a season. They are allowed to sign one talent on up to $450k a season after Lewis Jetta's departure from the club. Leuenberger could likely attract bigger offers elsewhere; however, at 27 years of age, a move to the Swans will likely be his last shot at a Premiership, after years of disappointment at the Lions. The Bombers have also thrown their hat in the ring, but their on-field failures this season have left the Swans confident in their chances, despite the fact the Bombers can likely offer more.

Beaston also spoke briefly of the deal that saw Premiership player Lewis Jetta move to the Fremantle Dockers in exchange for young key defender Alex Pearce. He said of the deal: "We thank Lewis for his 5 years of service to the club, and understand his reasons for wishing to depart", before continuing: "We are thrilled to have the signature of Alex (Pearce). Alex is the perfect suitor for a need that we have pinpointed since the end of last season, so he will play an important role in the club's future. We would also like to thank the Fremantle board for such a smooth deal."

Fremantle Welcome Smith to Fremantle

The Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce that Zac Smith, of the Gold Coast Suns, has joined the club. This move sees the ruckman join in place of Jonathon Griffin and Max Duffy. When asked, Chris Bond and Van_Dyke had this to say.

CB: We feel privileged to welcome Zac to the club, we rate him highly as a ruckman and we believe that when Aaron Sandilands calls it a day, he and Zac Clarke wil be primed to continue our ruck success.

VD: We would like to thank both Johnathon and Max for the service to the club, Johnathon has been a fantastic player for us over the years and a fantastic club man. Max, while he only played the two games for us, will be remembered by Fremantle fans, for his efforts to get us over the line against Geelong in his debut, despite shoddy umpiring

Mark Duffield: You made this deal with Gold Coast, who also have Harley Bennell. Will this result in anything different for that trade?

VD: Next question please

CB: Look Fitzey is a professional at what he does and a past deal won’t affect his future dealings. We still have hope the deal will go through.

MD: Three highly talented rucks. Two spots. Who’ll get them and do you have a logjam?

VD: That will be up to our paper scissors rock tournament to determine that.

CB: Look it’s up to Ross and the match committee, but the fact is that Aaron is bound to slow down at some stage and it means we are well prepared in case that happens.

KH: Any future deals?
VD: Trust your sources Kim, they’re always right

MD: You haven’t addressed your KPF stocks yet. Will you do that?

CB: Look, we have targets in mind and it’s up to see if we can make deals to get them.

The fans on Bigfooty are slightly surprised at this deal but they believe the team may look like this

Best 22:
FB Spurr Dawson Ibbotson
