LOCK AND LOAD!! :D

Went along to the intraclub match the other night and noticed Ryan seemed to be playing predominantly more of an inside game than his standard tagging role. Wonder whether anyone else noticed this and if there's any chance he might get more time in the guts as a play-maker rather than a negater? I didn't think he looked terribly out of place in this role, certainly had the hardness and the endeavour.

Congrats to Crowls. Just noticed he kicked his 100th goal for Freo on the weekend (along with Ballas). Not a bad effort for a guy who's been a tagger his whole career.

They become just the 12th and 13th players to kick 100 goals for the club.

And who knows, they might have even made history by being the first pair to bring up their 100th in the same match.

TAG OF A CHAMPION

"“I knew I had the tank to do it and I thought it was my ticket into the team.”

Crowley’s first tagging job was on Carlton star Nick Stevens at the MCG in round 16, 2005. He held the Blue to just 13 disposals.

“Stupidly, I went ok... it evolved from there,” he laughs."

Fantastic article on Crowls:

Crowls is now in the top 10 of games played for the club, displacing Peter Bell.
