I was able to sort out all the stats into single columns on excel. I'm going to have soo much fun over the next three weeks during the break.

I am so excited it's not even funny. This is the best thing I've seen on the internet since that video I downloaded called "Cheerleaders".

Yeah with excel just select and copy entire contents of the text file, past into A1, and select comma delimited when the parser window pops up.

Handball = 2 Points
Mark = 3 Points
Tackle = 4 Points
Free Kick For = 1 Point
Free Kick Against = -3 Points
Hitout = 1 Point
Goal = 6 Points
Behind = 1 Point

Line your stats up from columns J to R (assuming Row 2), Hitouts at J, Behinds at R.
Then use :
=K2*3+M2*3+L2*3+N2*4+O2+P2*-3+J2+Q2*6+R2

N is essentially, disposals, so why is that *4?

N should refer to tackles.

Disposals should definitely not appear in those stats. If they do, it's a complete ballsup.

There was no point increasing the size of the file to include a field that could be determined anytime by adding two other fields together.

You don't add the disposals because you already have the kicks and handballs.

I'm going to ask what is probably a really stupid question, but is there any way to select the entire page to copy at once?

Just try to remember what the Sun's stats tables looked like in the late 1980s. It's made based on that. (Hence the 2 interchange limit, too!)
