With the retirements of Heath Scotland and Lenny Hayes, we are left with just 3 players who began their careers in the 90's: Goodes, Boomer and Fletcher. Sad that all 3 are probably in their final years, except perhaps Boomer. Making me feel old for sure.

The latter two are the only ones left that were born in the 1970s too (Goodes was born in January 1980). Won't be long until someone born in 2000 is playing AFL football (probably 2018).

Don't know how I forgot him but probably 3rd best of the remaining 01 debutants. this also means there are 10 players left between 00/01. nearly locks for all 10 to retire next year as well.
Riewoldt has said he would like to play until 2016 so if he can manage his knees right I think he will.
