Not true. Port was fined $50,000 for late lodgement of five players and Tredrea was not one of them. Tredrea only reached the age of nomination when Port entered the comp. Therefore Port could not of paid him not to nominate as he wasn't old enough to nominate prior to Port's entry.

PS. The Crows are salary cap cheats and have tampered with the draft and you are an idiot.

There were about three players that Poort paid to stay out of the draft and Poort were fined by the AFL for it.

Poort supporters who claim it's not true are either just blatantly lying or they are exposing themselves as Tealsters who dont really know anything about the history of their club.

According to Tuesday's Herald Sun, former Essendon chairman Ray Horsburgh spoke to his successor David Evans about offering Goddard a job.
Horsburgh is chairman of transport and logistics company Toll.
Under AFL free agency rules, clubs cannot use third-party arrangements to help lure players.
"Every element of our commercial negotiation via ESP (Goddard's management) and Brendon was tabled to the AFL on Monday morning," Essendon chief executive Ian Robson said.
"There (have) never been any further conversations in regards to Brendon's contractual status with any other third-party organisation."
Robson said there had been discussions between Horsburgh and the club on Tuesday, but said they would stay private.
