Cummings [Bart], a born and bred Croweater that went on to be an ICON of the Australian Thoroughbred Racing Sport winning an amazing 12 Melbourne Cups, known not only for his prowess with thoroughbreds but also his legendary 'dry' wit. Once when the council inspectors responding to a compliant from a neighbour regarding the flies at then Cummings's Glenelg North stables the council inspector said " You've got too many flies here Mr. Cummings and you'll have to do something about it" to which Cummings retorted quick as a flash " fine, how many am I allowed to have then sir?"....boom boom!
