Tougher draw this year will bring them down a bit.

As I said on their board, Gold Coast has a very good top 10 and if they play their top 22 they could come close to top 8. However since there existence ie K Hunt , their have had political pressure to play certain players for PR reasons. The lastest is the PNG guy who does not have the disposal skills or body to play at the highest level , though it has to be said he has done well to get where he has. When he plays they are normally almost one short and he has been subbed off 3 times in the last 4 games, you can imagine how better players who miss out feel about this.Will be interesting to see if Dimma can ignore the political pressure and pick his best team
I think we're gonna have to be smart with the way we manage some of our older blokes with the short break between rounds 0 and 1.
We're already seeing it with Lynch missing 0 so he can play 1. We probably should do the same with Grimes, Prestia and anyone else if they have a niggle.

Cheating AFL orchestrated that 100%. As they're deciding who gets what time slot knowing full well we both backup the next Thursday they could've made our games the Thursday and Friday. Or at least gone the Tigers are old give them the extra day off. Na play us in the middle of a hot summers day with one day less recovery for the following round. Just like scheduling our VFL finals wildcard game last year at the exact same time as our seniors were interstate with emergencies on top of Riewoldt and Cotchin retirements guaranteeing pies reserves would make finals. Even Putin is more subtle than AFL house
