Dylan Shiel learned a hard lesson about what we expect as a team with a brutal dropping to the VFL, where he- Oh no, he was sub, and played the second half. And is now right back in the team.

We're short on cattle, yeah, but let's not pretend that we're teaching harsh lessons here. This club is absolutely ******* rudderless, and has been treading water for two decades. It's embarrassing, it's making life-long Essendon fans turn the games off or just not show up, and people aren't renewing memberships. We have yes men in charge who's only goal is turnover, and flogging yet another $350 captains dinner, or a $200 book, or a limited run of hyper-expensive merchandise to keep club coffers in check.

We're a football club, not a ******* ASX conglomerate. I realise this section is meant to discuss the changes, but I'm genuinely so tired of this club that I'm finding it hard to give a s**t.

Bryan and Hind are in, Baldwin is dropped even though he's been given the world's shittest delivery inside F50, and Nik Cox has busted his ankle up again. Jake Stringer was brought back from a hamstring too early, then pinged the other one. Someone needs to have a good look at the fitness staff here, and then ask some serious questions. Here's a good one to start with - "What the *?"

Hawthorne, a supposed bottom 4 side, are resting players against us. Hahahaha

Bombers 'embarrassed' by form in 2022

AFL: Essendon vice-captain Zach Merrett has revealed the club is 'embarrassed' with the way they've been playing in 2022 after slumping to a 1-6 record.

Don't miss out on the headlines from Essendon. Followed categories will be added to My News.

Key Bombers Jordan Ridley, Jake Kelly and Matt Guelfi are expected to be late withdrawls for Saturday night’s clash with Hawthorn with possibly two more players under a cloud after a virus swept through the club this week.
It’s a huge blow for the under-siege Bombers who had been hoping to turnaround their on-field fortunes after a disastrous 1-6 start to the season.
Essendon was one of at least three Melbourne-based clubs dealing with illness this week.
They had to leave their final selection until the last possible minute, given the doubts on several players.
This looms as a critical one for the battling Bombers as Ben Rutten’s team looks to regain their lost confidence.
