Having nominated Red Star Belgrade, I should add that I am a Panathinaikos supporter, following in my Bapou's footsteps, but I just can't hack coming second all the time to the Evil Empire that is Olympiacos. Andonis1997

Fast Facts

• Fighting Furies' win sees the club join Dragons FFC as the only two clubs to have played in three consecutive preliminary finals. It's also the third consecutive time the two clubs have met in a preliminary final.
• The Second Preliminary Final will be only the second meeting between Mount Buller Demons and Sin City Swamprats in a final. The only previous occasion saw the Swamprats (then as the Alberton Swamprats) coast to a 44-point win 12.4 (76) to 18.12 (120).
• Since the Swamprats re-entered the SFA in Season 16, they hold a 5-3 advantage over the Demons, including winning the last two matches between the two clubs. The Demons have tied matches at Snow Dome 3-3 in that time but have only won one of their last three matches against the Swamprats at Snow Dome.
• The First Preliminary Final will be the fifth finals meeting between Dragons FFC and Fighting Furies, the Furies hold a 3-1 advantage from the four previous matches.
• Since Season 16 Dragons FFC and Fighting Furies have met on 10 occasions with the Dragons holding a 6-4 lead, including winning the last three straight against the Furies.
• The Dragons hold a 3-2 advantage over the Furies at home since Season 16.
• Baghdad Bandits became the second club in the last four seasons to have kicked 299 goals or more in a season and not made it to the preliminary final stage of the competition.


Did you know? Season 20 is the second season in a row where the top four clubs at the end of the home away season have all qualified for the preliminary finals in an eight team finals series. This also happened last season and occurred for the first time in Season 07.

And also, Red Star and Olympiacos fans are "brothers". Here's a tifo against Dinamo Zagreb, acknowledging both clubs:
